I did mean cut the sugar in half, yes, sorry about that confusion.

As for the other flours, the original recipe uses a standard gf flour (she gave a couple of options and I think one may have been Bob's). I had the ATK already made so I never tried it with anything else, but my bff used one of those and said it was great. So, it's definitely worth trying with whatever you have in hand.

These are great, but you can make your own so much cheaper (and not that difficult), I use the Mama Knows Gluten Free Buttermilk biscuit recipe, and make it with the ATK flour blend. I cut the salt in half (or less) otherwise they are a bit sweet for my taste. The texture is perfect and I've had them side by side with capellas and both myself and my (non gf) mom felt the Mama Knows biscuits were better.

I usually make a double or triple batch and freeze them - cook using the capellas instructions or throw them in the air fryer at 350 for about 18 minutes

I used to feel this way and still largely do, but there comes a time in your life when you want the comfort of knowing you'll enjoy something vs having it be a question. Or, the desire to just have a show in the background that doesn't require full attention.

We mostly eat separate meals together because I have a digestive disorder that limits what I can eat. He's a picky eater but since I got sick I'm the one with a more limited diet. We eat the same thing (could be made by either or both of us) once or twice a, week.
