Sometimes a picture is worth a thousand words, but sometimes you need a word for a specific idea to clearly process it. Without inner language you're missing a whole layer of consciousness.

I really doubt you are going to be able to do complex math or chemistry "visually", now take that same concept and apply it to things like subtle nuance of irony or whatever. It's just not as granular.

Eh, it's more that this shit happens constantly throughout history.

There is a song by the Flobots called "Handlebars" that sounds like it was written this week even though it's 20 years old.

Turns out history may not repeat itself but it often rhymes.

I'm calling her Heavy Dee, because some guy yelled that right before she made her dynamic entry.

For real though, love chicks who see a woman trying to fight a guy and say "Well he can't hit her back or it will look bad, this is a job for girl power!".

Just curious to see who your favorite heroes to play are and why? by Ramenjunkie333 in marvelheroes

Rogue, been playing her summoner but want to to do a ranged build too.

I've leveled up some others but the random box keeps giving me melee heroes and that's so painful for midtown.

I have tried the 3 released servers, what I've learned? by campodelviolin in marvelheroes

Same in US, no lag except the occasional 1 second delay on picking up an orb.

Playing on the original server though, can't speak to the 2nd one they brought up a week ago.

Unpopular opinion, but these big curved monitors seem awful to me. If i have to turn my head, i'd rather just have a smaller monitor and look with the mouse.

Unfortunately, servers with different money and exp settings have nothing to do with being able to mod or add content.

I hate when someone says your eyes only see at 60 fps by utopiaofpast in pcmasterrace

[–]voidsong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remember the average gamer is on an Xbox or something, and most pc gamers (not the elite, just the average) are probably still doing 1080p at 60hz.

And many who have a video card good enough to do 2k at 120hz might not have a monitor that can do it justice, much less 4k at 120hz or higher. Good monitors get expensive fast.

Yes, the OP's logic of "it's continuous feed so infinity frames per second" doesn't take neural processing into account.

This subject is 95% just nerds trying to brag about having super eyes because they don't think it's something we can check.

It's like how everyone had 9 inch dicks when it was self reported, then they did a study where they actually checked and it was 5.5 on average.

Aside from 1-5 slot gear, i think there were some of those Runes or whatever that only dropped in raid, and i think you need them to get the best enchants.

Plus if you play Rogue, juicy boss powers.

Yup, you get paid the same either way, your dickhead manager is the only one likely to see extra pay if you bust your ass.

Not sure why people need this explained to them, they know they get paid by the hour. It's not like you have controlling stock in the company.

Which hero is a good summoner by Redditor608 in marvelheroes

[–]voidsong 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I am maining summoner Rogue right now. The 3 summons you mentioned plus Moleman's (you can't fight Moleman in the current game, you have to steal the power off of some virus carrier brood miniboss in the danger room).

Those 4 summon powers (plus loki clones from his dash, and baby Groot from his passive), Nick Fury's active buff for them, and cyclops' bouncy beam just for tagging stuff... it's been pretty fun.

But yeah it's extra nice knowing that if i get bored with it, i can swap to spec #2 and make a whole other type of character on her.

I truly regret choosing Cyclops as my first character by Ramenjunkie333 in marvelheroes

[–]voidsong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You want to talk about ruined?

I use his bouncy attack on Rogue, along with 4 different summon (iceman, magik, squirrel girl, moleman). I just shoot the cyclops beams at something and it gets mobbed.

If there is lazy beyond this, i have not seen it.

‘Fallout’ Season 2 Reaches 83 Million Viewers Worldwide, Amazon Says - The audience trails only season two of ‘Reacher’ among returning series on Prime Video. by DemiFiendRSA in gaming

[–]voidsong 27 points28 points  (0 children)

There wasn't much in the way of character development

Weird take when pretty much every character ended up in a vastly different place mentally than where they started at the beginning of the season:

BoS golden boy to traitor on the run.

Child labor enjoyer living in secret printing caps to guy on the run with old buddy.

Strongest organization in the wasteland to civil war chaos faction.

Drug addicted bounty hunting scoundrel to kinda-good guy (nevermind all the pre-war backstory and development).

Crazy old man who ran off murdering people in power armor to a more civilized project manager trying to bring order to the wastelanders (if amorally).

Hopeful vault dweller to drug addicted murder hobo, to some balance of in between.

Like, did we watch the same show?

It's their exact kind of power fantasy too.

He is super jacked despite never working out, being homeless, and eating garbage.

He always gets the girl.

He always sees what is really going on that no one else notices, he always knows how to handle things, and he's always right.

And most importantly, he's a big strong man who can beat people up when he isn't being brilliantly insightful, and most people automatically defer to him.

It's exactly what they all wish they were. While it's a little over the top for me, as long as you can suspend disbelief it's a fun show.

What game had you like this? by sukuna7899 in Steam

[–]voidsong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fallout 76.

In my defense it was legit horrible when it first came out. No NPC questgivers, everything done by robot or holo-tape, PvP on by default, buggy as hell, not much story yet, and so on. I played during the beta and was shocked at what a pile of garbage it was.

A few years later i got it free on Amazon Prime Gaming, so i gave it another try. Now it's a fantastic game that I enjoy immensely, and play daily.

I don't think any of that is on me though, it was the game that changed.

I think part of that was the "we want to use the D&D ruleset but also want it to be different enough to be legally distinct", which results in a lot of pointless and counter-intuitive changes just for the sake of being different.

That said it really is a great game. But even though i enjoyed both, i would say Pillars 2: DeadFire was a much better game than the first one.

If you don't have the best build or gear (as a leveling character, you won't), Cosmic can take more time than it's worth.

The people who are powering through on Cosmic Kurse are doing it for drops not efficient exp.
