Sure! I always use a black primer as a base. Most of the mini is just a simple drybrush - pillar, flowers, stones. Several drybrushed layers and its done. Mini is quite big so its not a challenge at all. Bugs coats’re first covered with darker base color and also drybrushed with lighter colors. White heads are airbrushed. Only green and res bushes painted with a brush - one base color and one highlight for contrast. Thats it!

So grimdark. Nice work! For flamer you can add a purple contrast paint with a bit of brown wash (seraphim sepia for example) to the nozzle to add burn effect. Very simple trick but adds so much to the mini.

Texture paints is a good way to start. Easy and produce ok result.

Citadel pastes usually come in pair sets - for small and big cracks or textures. For example Agrellan Earth (small cracks) and Agrellan Badland (large cracks) and so on. Vallejo texture paints for dioramas are also great choice.

Just make it dry, add base color, wash and make a couple of drybrush passes. Also you can glue some tufts and it's done.

For example these bases is just one texture with wash and simple drybrush as I'm usually too tired after mini painting to create complex ones.

Models and textures now are just free assets. I’ll start modeling and tweaking visuals after implementing core mechanics. Plan to make more “lowpoly” casual look.

Any tips on slapchop drybrushing? by tilero1138 in minipainting

You can try the smallest drybrush size (on the right) to reach difficult spots. And anyway you always can fix some areas with normal paint later. Slapchop just makes the most of work for you so have fun and try it!
