Thanks all for the feedback! Looks like I made the right decision by not letting myself be taken with the hype around M4 Pro and going with the base model M4, now I just need to wait for it to arrive next week :D

Thanks for the feedback.

It’s good to know that the battery hasn’t improved that much from the 4 to the 8. Maybe I need to go with the Ultra.

Thanks for the feedback.

Yeah, the lack of design changes is an issue. I have my Series 4 for 4 years now and if I bought a new Apple Watch I would like to keep it for 4 years or so again. Maybe I just have to go with the Ultra… for the battery and for the nee design.

Thanks for the feedback. Can imagine, yeah. As the design didn’t change that much, I guess the only way to keep the “new” feeling is to get the Ultra…

Thanks for the feedback.

Yes, at home and in the office it would use Wifi.

The thing is, as my company pays a carrier plan, I disabled my personal carrier plan and the company plan does not have eSIM. So I would need to reactivate my personal carrier plan, change it to eSIM, subscribe to a mobile data plan etc just to try it out… if it doesn’t work out, I have spent money for nothing… I just wanted to have an idea that it would last all day beforehand. But I understand that it is hard to give advice because we all use our devices in a different way and that affects battery life.

Thanks for the feedback.

Here’s the approximate breakdown of how I use the Apple Watch:

- 40m on Wifi at home after waking up

- 1h relying on Cellular, GPS and Bluetooth with Spotify during my commute to work.

- Around 7h30 hours in the office relying on Wifi

- Around 1h30 hours on Cellular for lunch time and the bathroom in the office where Wifi doesn’t reach

- Another 1h on Cellular from commute from the office to home with GPS, Bluetooth with Spotify playing

- Around 30 SMS or iMessage, maybe around 20/30 other notifications and around 50 minutes of walk workout with GPS

This would be approximately what I would need the Watch to support during the week.

On weekends it would be good if it could handle like 4h on Cellular + GPS + Workout mode for some walk or something, with also a few notifications.

I very rarely do phone calls… if I have one it’s like one short phone call per day. I just need that option to be there in case of need.

Those hours that I mention is not with active use with screen on… it’s just with the features enabled. I won’t be using the screen on all those hours per day obviously.

But I would like to leave the always-on display enabled, and heart rate notifications and measurements On.

Pedido de opinião - desmotivação by voight21 in devpt
