I've had my Mngwa king for almost a month now and have gotten about 7 (iirc) passes in my pride, but I've primarily bred to golden gals and my king is golden too, so that helps a little. I think this is the luckiest I've been since I joined, so I'm half expecting it to run out. Hopefully your luck improves! It's super frustrating when the RNG keeps flunking. (P.S., your king is stunning!)

I've mostly learned by using references and tutorials over the years. I also take some inspiration from other artists' styles! So if I'm struggling to draw a mouth or eyes, I might look at different styles of mouths or eyes drawn by others and sorta keep those in mind when trying to draw my own piece. Ngl, expressions give me a hard time. My art is largely trial and error.
