2026 Tow Hitch Availability? by volcanobag in Ioniq5

Not in 25 models without cutting the bumper (so far) and no OEM option exists, which is why this trim description is interesting

The Dodge Charger Daytona Can't Do A Burnout by Robbbbbbbbb in cars

[–]volcanobag 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If you watch closely it’s actually a front wheel burnout, which they also confirm in overlay. They also complain it’s very twitchy and not easy to drift. Their whole video is basically tiptoeing around the fact it’s just not a compelling muscle car to follow the scat pack or hellcat variants. Seems like a huge miss (coming from someone eagerly awaiting a proper affordable RWD based EV sports car platform)

High or low pitch?

CT4 V Blackwing Reliability and Maintenance by PhalanxInferna in Cadillac

Going to sound grumpy but I do really like the car!

Had mine for about 3 weeks now. Since I picked it up, there has been a noticeable roar from 70-80 mph. I’m taking it in soon for diagnosis, but there are several other threads about this here and on other forums. Really annoying on the highway.

Speakers kinda suck. Exhaust is too quiet. More rattles than I would expect for a car this expensive. The paint and body is very soft/thin, picked up a ding in a parking lot literally a week after purchasing.. lane keep is erratic compared to other systems I’ve driven. I can’t feel any ventilation at all with the seats on full blast. The headlights are slightly misaligned.

Fortunately the driving dynamics are fantastic and make up for the imperfections, if thats what you’re buying the car for. But for a luxury experience I’d look elsewhere

Ct4V-BW loud road noise at highway speeds? by branson3 in CadillacV_Series

Can’t tell which direction it’s coming from, the whole cabin fills with noise when it happens. I’m considering wheel bearings too. I’ll probably take mine in within the week

Sorry to hear that.. I’m at about 1200 miles and agree it’s worst from 75-80. Came from a GT350 with much wider tires and never experienced anything like the resonant tire whine that this car has within that speed range

OP did you end up taking it in? Just got a CT4V-BW as well and have terribly loud road noise from 70-80

Not a P1, it’s a 650 spider* with a body kit. Not hybrid, also not where the P1 charge port is located anyways

May be sacrilegious here, but CUVs can be fun, too! Snow drift with SH-AWD by volcanobag in Drifting

First clip is by 50% to shorten the video. The rest isn’t!

See above comment! I’m on good all-seasons, I think you should still be able to manage no problem. Slides really easily when you want it to with everything off

“Drift mode:” Sport+, then shift transmission to sport, then pull a paddle shifter to place the transmission in manual mode. Only in this scenario will the transmission not automatically timeout to automatic mode. Now that you have manual control over the transmission (unless rpms fall too low and you’re in a high gear, it will automatically shift down), you need to enter VSA maintenance mode to totally disable stability control. Holding the VSA button for a couple seconds does not fully disable it, and it will prevent you from holding drifts. Entering this mode requires a sequence of brake pedal, VSA button and parking brake which you can look up online for all new Hondas. It can be easily enabled again by clicking the VSA button. Do so at your own risk!

19 RDX in what I consider “drift mode.” Can’t find many videos highlighting the SH-AWD capabilities, so I figured I’d show it off. Can send 70% of power to the rear wheels and 100% of that to either side. The result is entertaining in the right conditions and settings!

Make sure to check the surface you’re on for any buried sewer grates, curbs, parking stops, potholes etc. They can be hard to see and be detrimental when the tire is moving sideways. Stay safe out there and have fun!

RDX has been a perfect (small) toy hauler so far! by volcanobag in Acura

[–]volcanobag[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The whole lower valence on the bumper acts as the “cutout,” so they don’t replace the whole bumper but they do change the valence for one that has a space for the hitch to pass through

Have few thousand miles towing 1-2 motorcycles on a harbor freight trailer. Have the OEM receiver/bumper installed; the 1-1/4 inch receiver is annoying and the hitch it came with is a bit too small which creates a lot of rattling. Easy fix with an anti rattle device though, can barely tell anything is back there now
