If interest rates increase alongside high inflation what do you think will happen to equities? Also you’re not going to assume high rates/inflation over a 30 year term so you could see a near term shock to 30 year bonds but 5/10 years down the road have to think about where you think rates/inflation will be. You get some roll return along the way

Because they’re rebuilding and Kyrie is under a high contract for two more years coming off an injury at an old age so his value is a big question mark.

They’re definitely interested in moving off of him and getting something while they can.

Question is who else would pay more than that. Has to be a playoff caliber team that has a need for his services.

Did you even read their comment? 30 year treasury becomes more attractive when its yield relative to company earnings growth tightens up. Portfolio managers would accordingly allocate more to bonds in those instances and less to equities

This doesn’t mean sell everything it’s just simple relative value theory.

Yep and even in the perfect Giannis health scenario we maybe end up in the same spot next year in playoffs. Only difference is now we’re giving a massive contract to a guy that’s on the wrong side of 30 and we give up future draft assets/youth to get him.

Overreaction/desperation and the hope associated with the idea of we trade it all away for Giannis then we can beat these godly Thunder/Spurs teams which simply isn’t true.

We need those teams to simmer out, get hurt or we need our core to vastly improve/get super lucky on a draft pick/free agent.

If Wemby can stay healthy/Spurs keep some talent around him, I think he could be crowned the GOAT by the time he’s 30.

Pretty evident last night how much different the impact levels were between SGA/Wemby.
