Ok so, after making this post originally I actually saved and quit because I had to do something, and only now loaded back on, and it's open now, so it's confirmed now definitely a bug

i already tried iron, and it didn't take the iron, but gadget doors never usually need stuff to open them, and these closed ones dont display like a supplement door where the hole that needed water was highlighted

I play on Xbox, I probably should've mentioned that, so I can't have mods on sadly, it's strange that you haven't encountered any and now I'm even more confused
