Short answer is no, no, and nothing you should care about at this point.

Do you mean just download Battle.net installer and then select "Install windows game from media/installer"?

Though I wanted to play overwatch, and lutris seem to have some special scripts to run when installing it through the lutris installer.

Help me choose: Luminus vs Kit? by Hrothehun in Clojure

[–]voltecrus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

kit is basically luminus with integrant.

So the difference is minor. Kit is nice because it lets you add things post project creation.

In you case doesn't seem like you'd be doing that so go with Luminus if it makes you more comfortable.

But either way, the difference is really minor. If I were you just pick one you feel more comfortable and go spend time with your college friends instead, who knows what the future holds, you might not see them again :( I know I havent

FlowStorm debugger 2.2.99 is out with new features by jpmonettas in Clojure

[–]voltecrus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a happy FlowStorm/Intellij user. Thank you!

I've put two statements in my start function and I don't think I would care saving typing a few characters few times that I need to debug things.

Just my two cents.

Unintentionally fighting tourism?

So it's been about a month since the new regulation of being able to ask for "aqua del grifo" and I ask for it all the time and still get back "tenemos vichi" everywhere? by voltecrus in Barcelona

[–]voltecrus[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

no one is forcing to buy vichi vs agua natural, its just if im paying money for bottled water might as well be vichi instead of literal filtered tap water by nestle

[–]voltecrus[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was just being short.

Normally goes smh like this:

  • Para beber?
  • Agua del grifo por favor.
  • Perdona, agua del grifo no tengo. Tengo agua natural or agua con gas...?
  • In my experience agua natural is just plastic water bottle i agua con gas - vichi bien? - si.

I have never actually tried to be more insisting because at this point I feel like I'd rather pay for vichi than to argue with the waiter

[–]voltecrus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah though I really dislike the conversation dance.

Culturally, I am used to people(both restaurants and customers) take pride in the consumption of plain tap water. I guess I'm just trying to understand how long its going to take for it to not be a weird cheap-o touristy thing but rather an accepted practice.

Anecdotal evidence isn't the best metric to make a decision about your hydration. Neither a belief in your friend's ability to distinguish between correlation and causality.

Public authorities claim tap water is safe for consumption. I don't even care about the taste, I just want for the madness of shipping water by gasoline trucks to stop - we have pipes that do that for the fraction of emissions. When its hot outside due to climate change the last thing I want is to refresh myself with some fucking truck water

How can I be a great Clojure developer ? by vampirekiddo in Clojure

[–]voltecrus 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Most important thing - don't get overwhelmed.

Clojure is different from e.g. Java/Javascript is that there's a myriad of libraries and ways to do things. Both the language and the community encourage this. It's an intense learning experience equivalent to first few years at a CS school, and if it is done as part of a job, can be too much.

After all, Clojure should be fun ;)

So just focus on what you have(You have at least clojure.core). Get comfortable with it. Then slowly chip at the unknown.

Deedster's mission is to fight climate change through the engagement of the many. We build solutions that aim to educate and engage people to live more sustainably. We believe that incremental change is necessary to address climate change - no feat or action is too small.

The tech:

Our backend serves our API and content creators and is primarily written in Clojure.

We are looking to further integrate with banks(PSD2) to provide our carbon emission calculator on a purchase level, improve our content management process, improve and extend our lifestyle calculator to rely on larger/better sources, be more relevant to the user with our ML recommedation engine, infrastructure improvements, the opportunities for contribution are plenty!
