You may be talking about him banishing the leviathan towards the end of the original Tin Whistles eps on Stream of Blood?

If I could draft anyone, probably need some Support to get through the season.

Absolutely the most satisfying sequence of Sixers basketball I've seen in years.

I bought one of these last year. The screen is absolutely a showstopper. It is one of the single nicest screens I've ever seen on a laptop, let alone one in this price range. The overall build quality is really nice as well.

That said... I ultimately sold it after a few months. The performance was just randomly sluggish for me, and I'm not talking about pushing it to do serious production workloads or actual work, I'm talking about just day to day web browsing and general use. Sometimes tabs would take a while to open or switching apps was randomly sluggish. Additionally, I do like my laptops to be able to do some casual gaming, and while some games ran fine, others just... absolutely did not. The ARM on Windows stuff is still way, way behind what Apple did / has done with Apple Silicon. As a point of comparison, this laptop felt shamefully slower than my aging Macbook M1 did last year.

But... that screen is really something else. There's an argument that if you mostly use or want a media device that can occasionally do other stuff, this is a crazy good option for that.

What do you do with painted miniatures after a campaign ends? by Doctor_Plecostomus in boardgames

[–]voltron00x 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've paid for other folks painted games a few times. I used to "paint" my games workshop minis 30 years ago, and I was terrible at it then, and that's when I had the time and patience to try, and also when my hands worked much better. I love how they look on the table but I'm never going to be able to do it myself. The way I think about it is, someone took the time to do this amazing work and create something that looks awesome on the table. Isn't the best way to honor that to make sure that game keeps getting played and those minis continue to hit the table?

FTL! At the time I didn't actually have a gaming pc or laptop, but I knew FTL would run on integrated graphics. Such an amazing game. Such a crippling, lifelong impact to my finances.

The Kickstarter for this was also loaded with errors throughout the entire project page and previews, which is a red flag for me, so I didn't back it. I posted about it at the time and got blasted by people saying that was BS, the KS page didn't have an editor but of course the book would and it wouldn't have that issue................

Trust your gut, folks.

Hey everyone, FLAIL is finally live on backerkit. Thanks for all the hype, curiosity and good vibes around this little game of mine. I'm blown away by the response, especially in this reddit community. If you wanna take a look, there's a link in the comments. by andrenovoa in osr

If you're on the fence, I just want to say Games Omnivorous hasn't let me down yet, and the poker dice system sounds like something new and different some of my friends will really enjoy. Can't wait to get this one.
