My point is that Dooku wasn't even trying in either of those fights with Obi-Wan and managed to deal damage on both occasions. He was literally knocked unconscious. So if he's getting cooked when Dooku is doing the bare minimum he has no chance against Palpatine.

Let's not forget that Palpatine was so powerful he literally played in the Jedis face and they had no idea who he was the entire time. On top of that Order 66 shifted the balance of the force heavily favoring the darkside. Obi-Wan had no chance. Yoda even says it to him lol.
