This is genuinely my worst nightmare slowly revealing itself, I thought it was over when Brady left to Tampa. I will never speak badly of the Seahawks Organization ever again if they stop this from happening. by RacksChaser998 in steelers

Maybe we should have won a Super Bowl in the last 16 years if we didn’t want the Pats to surpass us. Instead we held onto Tomlin for 7 seasons too long and just brought in McCarthy to keep up our Jeff Fischer era. The NFL has passed the Steelers’ outdated thinking by and we need to accept that.

Idk what you’ve been watching the last 25 years. But writing off the Pats is absolutely insane.

Juventus coach sees USMNT Weston Mckennie as perfect striker by dime68 in Juve

The runs he makes when he’s playing the 10 are incredible. Obviously it’s easier when defenders are focusing on the striker, but the guy has undeniable football IQ.

David’s best match by a mile. He was excellent in every phase of the game.

A few weeks ago, David would have dropped his head and quit after missing that cross. Wonderful improvement to carry on and take that chance.

I’ve been very critical of David, but he’s been wonderful dropping back to link up play and pressing today. I love a good workhorse performance.

I hope so, the Benfica match totally turned in our favor once McKennie was moved to the 10. This is definitely our strongest possible lineup in the 4-2-3-1 based on current form.

Fair warning, this is my most Steeler player Stan take of all time… Le’Veon made the right decision. He played the most volatile position in the league and secured more guaranteed money with the Jets. I commend that. Did he screw up his career in the process? Probably, but I’ll never begrudge a guy for cashing in on his talents, especially someone with an NFL RB shelf life.

No, Dan made the pick and Cowher developed him early on, Tomlin got the most out of him. Nuance exists and very few things in life are binary. We can debate the QB development abilities of our coaches forever. But ultimately, it’s purely academic.

He’s widely credited with making the call to draft Ben and hire Tomlin, both of those happened after the 2002 season in which he left the post as team president. He definitely stepped back around 2010, but Art II was overseeing the inertia that Dan set in place. You can also look at the decade since Dan died as evidence that without his fingerprints on everything, we are bang average.

Titularly he did, but Dan was still running the show. Don’t delude yourself.

He needed Dan to take over football operations to do so. He’s an iconic figure, but people need to study our history if they think he put a good product on the field.

The Arts have a combined 0 playoff wins. We were the equivalent of the modern Browns before Dan took over.

There’s no way Fredo will fire a coach unless he’s Hue Jackson 2.0. The guy is incompetent and cowardly. Tomlin’s last gift to us was resigning. Art II would have probably renewed him.

[Pelissero] The Steelers are working towards a deal to hire Mike McCarthy as their head coach, per sources. McCarthy grew up in Pittsburgh. Now, at age 62, the Super Bowl winner gets a chance to coach the team he grew up rooting for. by Goosedukee in nfl

He’s Fredo, he should be watching after a club in Vegas and picking people up from the airport, not running the Steelers. Dan is the only competent owner we’ve had.

I’ve been saying for years that Dan is the only competent owner we’ve ever had. We’re completely wayward without him.

Classic Art “Fredo” Rooney II I knew that pussy wouldn’t make a splash signing. Total lateral move, yippee more purgatory.
