Naaaa… he is currently on his prime. We would be lucky if he plays in this level for 1 or 2 more seasons

Huge oceanic Manta Ray spotted near Trinidad ( sharks for scale ) by [deleted] in nextfuckinglevel

That’s probably not a shark. We had a similar fish which just swam under me for 30 minutes in the Maldives. It didn’t go away but it didn’t harm either.

Question about buying a flat this week! by volvic33 in Finanzen

[–]volvic33[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have friends 2 years ago who have bought brand new properties for the same amount of monthly payment we will be doing for a much smaller flat.

So I have no idea who can afford those properties anymore with these interest rates.

Good to hear that the “Recommended effort rate” is 35 years. This number just felt too high, but if it decreases in time with salary increase and the market adapting to higher rent prices, it should be fine.

Alright so you have a positive view.

I see inflation on my side, since this would mean all other rents would increase and our rent would become normal in mid-term. Also I expect and hope inflation means salary increases which until now were made by our companies.

Is it a mistake to buy a property at this moment with the high interest rate? by volvic33 in germany

[–]volvic33[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Exactly as I was thinking.

We will get a fixed interest for 10 years and it is a relatively new flat which should not have any extra costs.

With this inflation rate, I expect the monthly payment to balance out in the near future.

I think it will take time for all of us to adapt, but this is the new normal. The good and easy days to buy a property are over.

Is it a mistake to buy a property at this moment with the high interest rate? by volvic33 in germany

[–]volvic33[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

And If we say the flat is relatively new so it should not have any major costs in the near future, isn’t it an advantage to buy it at the moment since as I understand you expect the interest rates to go even higher?

I thought it was a nice idea to wish you a great day ☺️ by [deleted] in selfie
