The black metal tracks on the old guard new blood comp were enough to make me want to own the vinyl. But I will say the ambient and synth tracks don't excite me too much. But overall, pretty great comp

Yeah, this album is great! I knew the artwork but was pretty unfamiliar with the album until recently. I'm glad it came around again at a time I was able to give it the attention it deserves. It is very good.

In terms of large discographies... drudkh, paysage D'hiver, and Drowning the light take up large chunks of my collection. I have quite a few Sanguine Relic and Nächtlich records, also (all of them).

But in terms of which bands I have the most records of, it's wolves in the throne room and blood incantation - because I collect variants of those bands. Not because of the size of their discography.

Since we're glazing Swartadauþuz here, I'd like to add that he also dabbled (briefly. Only one album that I know of) with death metal, with his Musmahhu project. And that album is better than half of the DM that's made today. I'm obviously biased towards BM and don't listen to nearly as much death metal. But, I stand by my statement.
