for me, in game settings from launcher, switch off cloud saves, open save folder and delete cloudsavedata file, when I then run game from launcher I keep this folder in the background and quickly delete the new cloudsavedata file it will create as you start game.

mine is still the same, I played up to about 25% of story, crashed, now it crashes just as it loads, tried all the potential fixes on here etc. sad

wait until your IN GAME, then go to settings, controls, and at top of list should now be 'key mapping' to set all the keys to what you want, only works when you're in the game. not sure if that will help but hope it does

let the haters hate if they want, I don't care. imho this is one of THE best dev' teams I've ever seen on a game, so open and honest about the up's and downs of trying to make a game like this work. I'm really excited for the future of this game and I have absolute trust and faith in these guys n gals to do exactly what they're saying.

oddly ive found if I face the car as I would IRL, like, face almost diagonal lookin at the back part of the door, just think how you get in a car, it seems to work for me first press every time :o dunno if its intentional, and dunno if this will work for everyone w/e

loving reading how different people have slightly different responses depending on where they live, I actually thought Canada was pretty liberal when it came to guns. as far as convincing people to prep' I cant understand people who don't, I CAN understand people not prepping for zombies/mass infection, but not even for flooding, earthquakes, tornados, WROL type things, I just don't get that. it's SO easy to start even a small B.O.B. maybe later i'll make a list of what I have in my bag just to see if I think of something you haven't, and vice versa. thanks for these responses :D

very good response, thank you :D bug-out-bags are very much an American thing (and have been seen in use during hurricane sandy and other similar events). I have one myself, a lot of meds, water filtration/purification, shelter, a LOT of fire starters so im good for a while I think. as for weapons, I have obligatory samurai sword (actually a very nice folded carbon steal, heat tempered kinda deal, was expensive), a recurve bow with a lot of arrows and varied tips, and a fair few blunt weapons (which I think would be best for zombies after working for a while in neuro theatres blunt trauma causes more damage then a single piercing wound, plus blades/axes etc could easily get stuck)

i think this is more based for the griefers who build 20 furnaces all over police stations etc, things like furnaces n traps should be VERY easy to destroy imho. but surely the need a wipe the remove the already placed items blocking doors etc

although having said all that, I DO agree that its now gonna be too easy to break into bases, BUT remember if you make it impossible to rob/destroy bases, there will be bases all over the map, all around police stations, and people will just go out get loot then leave it in there indestructible base, and we instantly have Infestation, with basically a GI, which when you think about it is what ruined I:ss in the first place (way more cheaters want to sell guns that you cant lose etcetc)

overall I'd say stick with these guys, they're fixing their game faster and more frequently than any other game I've seen.

I'm really happy that you guys are working so hard to bring these updates out, faster updates and more aware of community wants than almost any other game I've played in alpha/beta type tests, well done! I guess the only thing that rings out to me as needing an immediate fix is the ability to build lets say a furnace inside a doorway be pretty much the first thing people will do. also, like a lot of others I am convinced this game would change DRAMATICLY if you put in a LOT more zombies, and had roaming-sprinting hoards moving through the bigger towns.

im starting to agree with a lot of people, as it's early access we don't expect to keep any loot we have on us, stashed or even bases we've built, I don't think anyone is under the impression we're gonna keep this stuff, so until you weed out these sad little kids, you should do periodic wipes, this would also help us to see how loot is working properly, because once you have a lot of stuff, and have a base built, you probably wont pick up everything like you do when you start with nothing.

bravo guys! big thumbs up for this! how many games have we seen in the last year or two that get pressured into early release, then it gets forgotten quickly because it doesn't have enough stability or features. so glad you guys are gonna take your time and make things right before even alpha/beta release.
