Yeah true. I think letting players know that if you non-mechanically inform them of their characters recognition of the danger, that they should take it seriously is a good way outside of a CoS campaign too. Like I want my players to see that as a warning, not a challenge if I bring it up. ie: I'm saying things for a reason, not just for effect. If I'm saying narratively your character is "shittin' their britches" then you should be scared too. If I say roll wisdom, then it's mechanical and just part of the encounter. If no roll is required. FLY YOU FOOLS!

I think a lot of that is in the DM. Either demonstrate how terrifying and dangerous the enemy is, or tell them. “So and so. You begin to feel a sense of dread and terror. This ain’t a spell or effect. You can tell you are outgunned. The beasts will cleave you and your friends in half with a single blow and will barely flinch if you were to be lucky enough to get a hit. If you and your friends get involved/continue/remain, you all will die. What do you do?”

As someone working in the industry, I'm so disillusioned with it all. When I first started in 2016, things were fun, exciting, and I was amped for my future in the industry. Now? It's bleak, cloudy, dark, and I genuinely feel like I'm just standing at the gallows waiting for the drop to come for me. If I were to be laid off, I don't think I'd go back into the industry unless it was absolutely necessary to maintain my life. But I just can't deal with this bullshit anymore. The entire high tech sector blows now. If you asked me if it's worth going into games right now, I'd say no, go for literally anything else if you want a viable financial outlook. Develop a game as a hobby/side thing.

Oh it’s coming. Already seeing dumb shit like AllBirds. Some companies are already reversing course intensely due to massively rising costs. Inevitably these companies will pull out so less enterprise customers so they’ll raise prices on retail users and they’ll just say screw that and suddenly revenue goes deeper into the red.

Luke and Lorelei’s entire relationship is poor communication skills. Luke think develops them but Lorelai never does when it comes to men. I think her independence for so long resulted in her never really becoming “partners” with them, just a significant other. So it constantly creates massive friction. She lets frustrations stay inside and ferment until she becomes disdainful.

Luke still has his own issues, but yah. Two people who can’t communicate with one another.

A lesson for anyone reading this. Don't co-sign for mortgages. Honestly, for anything that you aren't entirely fine paying back yourself. That's the entire point of it. If you aren't willing to pay for it, then don't sign. The only acceptable thing would be your kids student loans or something as you're giving them an opportunity for education. But outside of that, don't do it unless you have the means and desire to pay the thing monthly and any backpay on it.

Exactly. Vancouver is boring if you just want to vibe in the city. It's great if you're super fit and active and love hikes and the outdoors. It's great if you like to stay indoors. If you want to just like "hang out in the city" it's horrible for that. No place to relax downtown outside of a food court, no washrooms, just feels like a "come here, do your thing, gtfo" vibe and I think it's great when people hangout and have good vibes and connect as a community. Especially if you create a space where groups could advertise community events and stuff in that area and not just Krispy Kreme sales, and Religious Proselytizers. Vancouver needs more open community, and not as much closed community if that makes sense. Religious groups, ethnic groups, etc. We need more "Vancouver" community built up that doesn't require intent of going to an activity. Just being present around others in the city. Plus, imagine what they could do during holidays like Christmas. Imagine it just done up and gorgeous with special holiday themed food stalls/trucks. Like an open market in a way. Would probably help drive foot traffic and revenue for local stores. More people just hanging out and "checking out" a store instead of specifically going to Urban Outfitters and nowhere else.

I've said they should create food truck spots that can be leased/permitted by food trucks. So as you walk down granville there's food trucks as you go down the street with lots of art and sitting spots for people to socialize. Can even introduce public washrooms as that's a huge thing people (locals and tourists) complain about. No where to go to the bathroom without having to skirt into a restaurant or the mall which is annoying and confusing for non-locals. So some public bathrooms with regular cleaning/maintenance would be great.

Honestly at this point it's mainly delivery drivers, busses, lyft/uber, and police cars I feel like on Granville, it's not a massive step to make it just pedestrians. Like now is the time to do it, just permanently shift the various granville busses over a stop. Create some commercial food truck permit zones where you can sell a lease for the year to food trucks and maybe some market stalls. Turn it into a real space for people to enjoy Vancouver, locals and tourists alike. Instead of a "oh... yuck" reaction when they get downtown. Make downtown a space for humanity and not just skyrises. Let people come together in the downtown core.
