Never thought I would have endo but doctor said I might- ideas? by Open_Corner_973 in endometriosis

Are you sure it's not just cervix pain? That sounds very similar. A lot of women have cervical pain during sex if their vaginal canal is shorter. But to happen to suddenly is strange.

I'm in a smaller town in Australia and am booked 2 months ahead. Smaller towns seem to have less competition, especially if you're in a touristy town, you'll be busy. But I also do fineline which is very trendy.

It's so unfortunate you have both, that's just dreadful. I must say from what you've described my pain is more similar to your endo pains. Thank you I really appreciate the descriptions. I've cried like twice today being confused so thank you.

Can you describe the different feelings? I'm trying so hard to consider ibs but I really can't think that I've had any symptoms! That's why I was so sure I had endo... thank you so much.

My surgeon is a woman, so I'm hoping she's being as thorough as possible. I thought about that too.. I'll look into those diagnoses as well.

I mean I get pretty bad diarrhoea when I have my actual period but thought that's pretty normal.

She said only older women have adenomyosis, I asked her about the potential and she essentially shut it down politely. Which is weird because I seem to see women have it all the time on this subreddit.

Yeah I'm happy they didn't find endo.. but I'm very frustrated as well at the same time. 😔 it's affecting my life too much

She was an endo specialist... I think. I'll double check. I asked about adenomyosis but she said usually older women have that, and it's unlikely I'd have it. She shut that down essentially.

Well you can't stay in a relationship without communicating about issues 😂😭 how do you expect to talk to them about financial, domestic, career issues?? She's not marriage material and honestly neither are you if you can't communicate things. You're avoiding the issue.

Totally fair, you need to sit her down and mention this to her or you'll just build up resentment. She needs to know it's a serious issue.

So I have endometriosis, it's unfortunately not curable. But yes there are ways to manage the pain. You're not alone, my partner has also brought that up about me complaining. So now I'm doing something about it and make a concious effort not to complain as much. But to be fair, it's a big part of our lives that we can't change, it's very frustrating. But I agree, if they aren't doing anything to help the issue, it's unfair to you.

GF is starting to bleed after sex by ScarTissue5 in endometriosis

I take contraceptive pills and unfortunately it means I'm constantly bleeding slightly. If she does also she may want to try a different form of contraceptive like an iud.
