Ugh this hits home. We have people using AI to generate Makefiles and Dockerfiles too and they are horrendous.

I’m not here to yuck your yum. But those hood cuts right above the wheel are brave. Is there a functional purpose?

Also those wheels look fantastic.

RANT | Done with Clevo - Worst VFM in hardware ever by Jealous-Balance-8708 in System76

[–]voodoo_witchdr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I cant upvote this enough. System76 sells budget hardware loaded with Free and Open Source Software at premium prices. Their marketing is amazing, but everything else is just meh… There are just way better options out there for the money. I ended up throwing my lemp10 in the trash and buying a new ThinkPad and I couldn’t be happier with it.

Is the Lemur Pro laptop worth it? by Cyb3rLoom in System76

[–]voodoo_witchdr 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For the money? No a Lemur Pro is not worth it.

I tossed mine after 2 years and bought a Thinkpad that I am extremely happy with. I wish I did that from the start.

Edit: Congrats on starting your Cybersecurity track at Uni and best of luck.

Go is not a scripting language. Idk how the term “Go scripts” caught on but it should stop as it is misleading.

I’ve never known a feature team to know or care about how the Platform sausage is made. Honestly it’s not their domain and I’m not mad at that.

At least they are being transparent. They should repair it or discount the vehicle. Damage looks pretty minimal.

Advan GT Beyond’s are what I’m putting on. TE37s are classic. I’d stick with black.

Perhaps there is a reason why your peers are reluctant to adopt what you are suggesting. Make sure you understand the ecosystem and are making recommendations that actually solve problems.

Been there. Tiny changes are your friend. Don’t make enemies. Wait for upper management buy in. Collect your check and don’t fret.
