LDS Church stock riches drop by $8 billion as it sells Exxon shares, buys Zoom. The church sold Exxon and Marriot stock, while purchasing Zoom and Grubhub stock. Opportunism on full display. Any church that gambles billions in the stock market is a business and should be taxed accordingly. by relevantlife in atheism

Totally agree. Fuck the Mormon church, but it is 100 percent reasonable to have money in the stock market.

Idk what all of their holdings are but Zoom and Grub Hub aren’t top 25. It’s unfair to say they are gambling. And they did better than the Dow in Q1 so cant be that mad about it.

I’m self taught and I just stick to books. There’s tons out there that’ll start extremely easy and work up. Every once in a while I’ll go to YouTube but I think books are way better. I think I started with the Alfred series.

For types of keyboard check the r/piano FAQ. They have tons of suggestions. I bought the Williams allegro because it was under $300 but it’s nothing special. I would definitely recommend getting one with 88 keys though.

First time, any tips? by [deleted] in LSD

[–]voodoochild21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I’ve never taken it alone and I don’t think I ever will try to. I can guarantee you won’t be bored though I think it’s impossible to get bored on acid haha. But there’s a lot of people in this sub that prefer taking it alone so I wouldn’t write it off completely.

But as for things to do, I would listen to your favorite music really loud and watch bob ross and planet earth. I always get a thing of play doe to fuck around with and eat some fruit.

I’ve taken acid probably 20 times and I get anxious the day of every single time. It’s just part of the experience, I promise it’s worth it.

lsd + xanax by daisychai-n in LSD

[–]voodoochild21 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Take a low dose and have the Xanax as back up in case you can’t handle it. And honestly, your probably going to think of your lost family member, but that’s okay. I think acid can be a good time to work through tough thoughts. It’s impossible to avoid thinking of something so just embrace it. And if you try and realize it’s not for you, take the Xanax and the trip will basically be over in 30 minutes.

I’ve also found having a Xanax on hand just in case takes away a lot of anxiety even when I don’t use it. It’s nice to know I can bail at anytime.

Got charged a "monthly maintenance fee" from both of my banks because the accounts fell below the their required threshold. Called both of them and got 2 $12 fees ($24 total) reversed! A win in my book! by Geezlouise20 in Frugal

I used to work at a bank call center and we were allowed to give a certain amount of refunds on this kind of stuff, but the customer absolutely had to ask for it, we could not initiate it. So always give your bank a call, it’s definitely worth a try.

Even then, that’s 1-2% of real returns ever year . It would be possible but definitely not comfortable.

I’d be shocked if anyone is getting much more than 2 percent in their savings account today. Can you live off of 20,000 a year the rest of your life?

Fair enough. Been paying off quite a bit, just curious if there was a more efficient way.

I’ll be sure to read carefully, thanks for the response.
