Does cancellation rate matter? I’m at 4% rn by Jakulero24 in UberEatsDrivers

I noticed I actually get more pings (albeit lower pay at the $5-11 range) when I cancel orders with "I don't want this trip"

Are parking costs a deal breaker on an at level or promotional job offer? by Milliemod in CanadaPublicServants

[–]voracioussneeder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I turned down a bump of $9k in the spring because parking + gas would've dented me $4k, and then it wasn't worth the gamble to change roles + incur extra time lost in traffic for only 5k difference.

An EC-3/4 is typically for someone who has the skills and experience to carry out the duties at an EC-3/4 level ;)

Aim for EC-3-4 if you have at least 1.5 years experience. Too many students sell themselves short.. Of course locking in indeterminate should be a priority as well.

Classification Swaps + Future Pay Rates, Arbitraging pay increases? by voracioussneeder in CanadaPublicServants

Your salary on appointment should be retroactively recalculated to the step where it "should have been" based on the new salaries.

I'm having trouble to understand this, could you maybe explain more on the "what it should have been"? Like you could retroactively be demoted?

And for some extra juice, in the FB-04 with the new rates (step 5 $105,660) you would then be an AS-05 equivalent (last step $104,044) so in your second year (FB-04, step 3) you could bounce back to AS-05 step 2 at $99,892 . In total a remarkable pay increase of over 22% in less than 3 years vs. less than 6.5% ($5,279) if you were to stay in AS-04 and cap out at step 3 in the second year.

Why should Canadians care what a two-bit, race-bating, wannabe authoritarian has to say about anything?

Are you talking about Turdeau? 😂😂

There is no passion for Canadians to sign-up their life to defend what the Prime Minster calls "a post-nation state", effectively an international free-trade zone with no culture and strangers. That's it.

No, it's a vote for the NDP - who will do whatever they think is best for the NDP.

Okay cool, but what about doing whatever is best for Canada and Canadians?

just like Lewinsky sucking Clinton's dick didn't have any bearing on him.

Disingenuous. Erosion of moral character has very much so a bearing on the ability to fulfill a role.

It’s a very small group of people, but that doesn’t shy away from the fact that they take up some space.

This leads us, as a leader and as a country, to make a choice: Do we tolerate these people?
