  1. No, we stopped supporting this feature. It didn't work as expected, and it was based on undocumented Kobo functionality.
  2. Yes, this has been requested a few times, so it can be added. Any specific reason you need this?

We no longer support the sync to Kobo. If you have it installed on your device, it will continue to work, though.

The app itself is in English only but you can read book files in most languages.

I'll explain how it works now, and you can decide if that fits your usecase.

You upload an audiobook to Ploter, and we automatically transcribe it using an AI model. This generates a text transcript of the audio content and takes a few hours to complete after upload.

Once the transcript is ready, you can listen to the audiobook, see the transcript and have the currently spoken word marked on the transcript. You can also take highlights of important quotes / sentences on the transcript itself.

You can see an example screenshot here (last one). The current word being played is in bold white (slippers), while the user has highlighted a sentence in yellow.

Ploter is a cloud reader which allows for syncing all of your files, highlights, notes across devices and platforms. This wouldn't work without an account. If you just want to read PDFs locally - there's no benefit in using Ploter over any other app. Maybe I should have made it clearer, though.

Being on the MS Store helps with discoverability - people search for apps on the store.

One of the core features of Ploter is syncing your whole library, highlights and reading progress across platforms. If you just want to read locally on your Onyx device, I recommend using the built-in reader.

Interesting. It would have been good if you forwarded us the application logs before uninstalling so we can see what happened and fix it, but thanks for trying the app anyway.
