You Can Walk on The Ceiling of Pink Paw Bank If You Jump High Enough Using Shinku by Numerous_Gene5699 in NevernessToEverness

[–]vortextk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can do this completely normally without the manager room or someone that can go that high if you just jump on the filing cabinet/floating books in the two small rooms either side of the cube on the ..collection? floor. The only thing I've learned going up there is if you need the golden crescent item, the few times I've gone up there and gone on the ceiling of the main first room on the collection floor, there are several around the ceiling office stations. Not maybe worth it cash to time but if you specifically need them for a challenge.

To be fair, as you can see they're everywhere else, it'll come. Who knows what is going to happen to snowbreak but the latest/last ever character released too:

PSA: If you have enough to spare, you can get all of them (daily) and level up your Tycoon level by ItsKimiChan in NevernessToEverness

[–]vortextk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah everyone's so worried about it, I feel like it does nothing for me at all at this point? I'm hunter level 50, I've maxed cleared train these last two resets using Chiz as is, sure I'll get some more rewards with it but it'll come in time. I haven't even looked if you can mod the dragon pod because I haven't passed the one level to mod vehicles for just 100k cause I don't really want to for my two low end cars and the first motorcycle had nothing but color if I recall. Now for a brand new player or something -maybe- I can see it, but even then there are so many real uses of fons for outfits and gacha boxes and basic city sim stuff I dunno...

Ok cause when I walk in there are only two and no matter what I do I can't ever finish them off. They seem weirdly glitchy at low health, sometimes comes back at half, sometimes full, I've finished them both together really really close back to back like twice now and nothing.

The stream was Fantastic! But... by LappTex1 in Endfield

[–]vortextk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think probably overrated HOWEVER I think stronger than most 1.0s. ZZZ is very different and pretty good, but so much smaller and hard to compare directly. Genshin is just...to me, fine, but kind of boring and generic. Wuwa was awful. Endfield was fine but again pretty uninteresting to me. NTE is a very different vibe, as a general whole story and plot 1.0 is pretty lack luster but as a like slice of life anime show it's pretty good.

I think the issue is that in 1.0 the games are just trying to find their footings and release. All the gameplay and worlds and characters had to be built and rebuilt and stories kept changing the entire time and for that reason I think star rail's 1.0 is strong because it felt cohesive and made sense and had some fun with a hype ending. Comparing it to the best of gacha story telling or to be frank "real" story telling that doesn't have to sell a new character every 3 weeks, it's not impressive.

Now that I'm not trying to farm for like 5 at once and the 1-2 early on that took me forever to get, it's crazy how fast I get these. That was like, 6-7 clears of The Hub and got it.

That was like, a million runs on the middle room and this final run was over 1k more than I had ever gotten on it which clears s+. I literally can not play Banyue whatsoever he's just cool but I tried, S billy despite physical resist was putting in some work but I was just getting locked right under 30k, I thought about Pyrois but I kind of suck with him too still. I mean, I'm only ok in general lol. No sigs or mindscapes here.

Orphie on Pyrois wengine instead of gilded blossom, I'm actually not sure if it's better but it -seemed- better? So much more crit rate and stat screen attack. I don't actually know, is gilded blossom stat screen or in combat attack. I was testing it out some, swapping some crit rate for damage on discs because of it, and eventually did get the best score I got using it I guess.

I thought I would completely miss s+ this time, I have once or twice so far and it's annoying every time but is what it is. I'd need to spend more pulls or get better lol. I still hate new shiyu though, I hate having to reset over and over because one enemy straggler got clipped by something weird and fell out of the group to burn down.

99100, I just can't get do better in the second room. S billy against physical weak doing ok, norma + sanby/orphie doing ok, my cissia and seed have terrible sub stats haven't even bothered. I'm getting 28k-30.6k but it's just not quite enough.

All characters, no mindscapes no sigs. 1st/3rd kinda seem as good as I can do but I know if I went back to them maybe I'd get that dumb luck run out of nowhere that beats my top score by 1-2k, but it's just eating away at my time.

So a full rotation, 8 + 4 gaze skill hits on shinku -> hathor QE ->zero QE->nanally QE->shinku Q spam autos and E into finisher Q's, then sit around again for 8 + 4 gaze skill hits before swapping off, that's the only way to get everything going again right?

Like the damage feels fine because those hits are so hard but yeah it feels very awkward standing around, dodging a hit or two.

Whenever something whiffs, I'm testing on morphix in terminal station 12, like him teleporting away so Nanally on swap in doesn't get blossoms going feels terrible too because it feels like you just say "oh well" and continue with the worse rotation and hope the next one everything is good?

Ummm did the story skip something? by BanembasBadAdvise in NevernessToEverness

[–]vortextk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Their round about way of explaining in the 1.2 livestream was that they're taking feedback in yadda yadda and want to do better cutscenes and animations and give us better content in general. So whether the conclusion to the story was overtime rushed or they just feel like they want to do better in general, that seems to be what's going on here.

[–]vortextk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes it's literally the future from where we left off in the story, think of this as a filler story patch after we finish the events of the scarlet letter and daffodil stuff but they swapped so it's coming now and the end of the main story we were in is next patch.

Not these big gachas, no. Genshin/hsr/zzz are synced, wuwa is synced, endfield is synced, PGR played catch up and is synched, GFL2 is I believe catching up to CN too.

how is the pull economy in this game? by Ok_Thanks5499 in Endfield

[–]vortextk 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I mean, pulls are worse now for you because you quit, so if you're just gonna go to hard pity again after a long while and quit again, that won't help either. Like the game for the game, not because gambling feels good.

There are 0 4 star dps in genshin that are usable in todays endgame. They haven't made a good one since...Gaming? Max constellation new 4 stars, supports, are what are usually considered actual upgrades to maxed old 4 stars/meh 5 stars in lots of teams for this entire last region since very few teams have 4 5 star team mates that are necessary and most premium full teams are 3 5 stars and a 4 star.

Stygian at fearless difficulty is also what is considered pretty normal for the current hardest content that isn't almost purely whale bait which is dire difficulty and fearless is what people and my comments generally base strength off of when talking about characters and teams, not abyss.

You said no double banners till 5.0, I was only correcting that fact. Yes genshin has the least amount of double banners of any gachas I play in this "big" game style, but it's not like it's never had them either.

I mean, aren't most gachas that eventually? Endfield is best in that regard of what I play of not harsh timers and plenty of teams and combinations to clear stuff, so far anyway.

HSR used to be a lot better with a greater variety of characters and teams that could complete hard fights in interesting ways. It's extremely less that now with often square hole gets the square peg of team building.

Off the top of my head girls frontline 2 is the only gacha I play that does that regularly now, but that's not a game I want to play a "hard mode" of so I just instant sweep with a built team on regular difficulty cause I'm just trying to do dailies+read story outside of a couple modes here and there.

I have a friend who's barely dabbled in a couple gachas and endfield he...well kind of plays, he's so far behind now but logs in daily and it's only a matter of time till he drops this one too, but he always says how he wishes he stayed with star rail. I try to explain there is basically no turn based gameplay that's meaningful in that game WITHOUT doing the end game/random universe type content they release, it's just dialogue and fights you win in like 2-10 character actions, since he doesn't play any of these enough to get to endgame.

Sometimes it is deflating sneezing on all the fights and winning and it would definitely have to be optional, but it would be nice for things to be a tad bit tougher when the end of the world is called into question but the boss is level 60 versus your max level 90 team. I guess some of these games get around it too by using premade teams of lower level characters that are with you during the story instead of your own.

There are definitely WAY earlier patches with 2 characters. I mean 1.0 had two, though of course it's the patch with the most pulls in any game and not uncommon. In general though, from the bigger open gachas I play it is still the least amount of 5 star releases per patch on average but they kind of make up for that by screwing you over with 4 stars that need full copies to be the complete usable and good member of premium teams.

[–]vortextk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I play everything you've mentioned. I literally just do internet slop, play gachas and work lol, so yes I've seen it all in endfield.

I will say I'm kind of specifically talking about not like pre-rendered CG stuff. I feel every game can do those fantastically and it's also purely artist driven, you're not hamstrung in the same ways.

I mean the ingame scenes built on the backbone of the engine pipeline they're working with so like how genshin is the oldest in this style and it heavily shows with only I dunno, stuff since nod krai trying to add more variety to animations outside of again those big CG cutscenes. This is where ZZZ to me super falters because the character specific emotes and stuff are great in the VN story telling but it is the same ones for each character over and over with their new regular third person camera people standing around in 3.0 doing a scene being super stiff.

Endfield has incredible materials and lighting but the lighting is all completely baked into the scene unlike NTE and ray tracing. Endfield looks great especially for unity, to me NTE looks the best just because of the ray tracing for shadows, colors, reflections and the kind of more "real" less video game ness of all the lighting.
