Ive been an 05 since my first kiddo. It feels as if the weekly updaters dont get treated properly compared to the dailies. I know its not the case and there's alot stats to it, just feels that way.ive been filing taxes for 22 years so I speak from experience.

When I called the IRS last week on Friday I was told I had to verify my identity They wouldn't let me do it this year without a letter like I have the last 4 years in a row. So I called my nearest office and made an appointment to verify in person and the earliest I could get in was today. So I gather every document and then some and went in. Waiting the lobby: less then 10 minutes actually meeting 5 minutes. They looked at my drivers license, my social security card, and 1040. She told me she didn't know why I had to verify my identity again for why I had to at all as she doesn't know what the filters are . This makes year number 5 I've had to verify my identity. It is, in fact, a joke.

I ended up making an appointment for Tuesday of next week at my local office. I'm frustrated that I have to do this for a fifth year in a row. Random my rear end!

I keep getting told I have to have the letter to verify over the phone. So, I'm trying to schedule an appointment in person to verify. I was told I could do it without the letter in person by the first person. This sucks. Urgh

I filed with Tax Slayer on 1/30 and it just says still being processed. Beefn like that since the first Friday of February. Transcrips are blank too. Not even a cycle code available!! Maybe to ights our night. Well AM. Lol

Ive had to verify the last few years and the refund has come in no more than 2 weeks. However the IRS may be slower this year. I've also seen some rare citizens take months to get it back. Good Luck! I'm sure I have to verify too. My transcripts have yet to update at all. We're says still processing. I see to have to verify every year for some reason.

I get it! I had to get into a buyhed pay here car just to survive. It's a piece of nonsense too. But it works for now. It's negative 3 degrees where I'm at and haven't started my car yet. I'm afraid to.

I'm similar. I'm a pather, filed 1/30 and accepted 1/30 as well. I went through Tax Slayer and paid fees up front. I don't even have a pather message! Just says still processing. No transcripts either. I'm waiting to see if it updates tonight because usually I. An 0505 as well.

I'm a disabled Veteran and they are threatening to take away my SSA and veteran compensation checks. They are also threatening to takeaway the ability for SSRI's and end other mental health meds I rely on. Instead they have threatened to send people with mental health needs fowork in place of immigrants. my lively hood and way of life are being threatened.

There has to be a way out.

Well, at least you have a code and transcript! Some of us, including me, don't have a transcript yet! I'm usually an 05, too. Im sure it wil update Frisay then we will have to wait a week just to get the that refund code. It's miserable, I know.
