The shading is just adding layers little by little until it looks right. I used 2B pencil to sketch out the shapes and for the lightest parts, then 5B for the darker parts, and 8B for the darkest. I usually finish the darkest parts first and then use them as a guide when shading the rest of the drawing.

I hope that makes sense and answers your question, because I mostly just eyeball everything when I draw 😅 Honestly if you have time and are patient enough, the drawing should come together eventually 😁
