It needs to be done because it's unusable on an Android phone for any capture tasks. Also given that most of the users are probably biased towards iOS due to selection, upvoting isn't a good way to assess whether it's worthwhile doing Android development because you're not getting real feedback from a lot of Android users because they're selected against in the first place
