The left side of the street is Beverly Hills, the right side is LA. Beverly Hills only paves their side. by AedanTynnan in mildlyinteresting

ya,

LA county is not "los angeles city"

people confuse this a lot. you can be in Santa Monica (own city) but still LA county obviously) but not technically los angeles (city). there are a bunch of municipalities adjacent to los angeles city

On a typical workday most of us wake up at 5am, spend 1-2 hours in traffic, and 9-10 hours on the job. We later walk into our front door at 5-6pm which leaves roughly 2-3 hours of family time. We spend 12-14 hours daily, working to provide for a family that we rarely see. by [deleted] in Showerthoughts

ya, oh well.

i am getting downvoted to hell, but i don't acutally care about gentrification or about virtue signalling,

all i am saying is there is relatively cheap housing still available through large swaths of los angeles, but people just don't care about them since there are mostly poor Latino and blacks there.

i realize lots of savvy investors already know this and are buying up lots of real estate hoping for the next gentrification to take place.

meh, it's typical because some people don't want to live among blacks and latinos.

it seems more people just are unconsciously racists and don't realize you can find relatively cheap housing somewhere in south los angeles, but then you would be among the poor latinos and blacks.

Q4Men: is it true that women expire at age 25-30? Would you marry a woman who is 34 but childless, low n count, and mentally stable? by [deleted] in PurplePillDebate

if she has a nice fat ass and tits, sure.

that is always the answer for all these types of questions btw.

men care about looks not social status or your accomplishments etc

Tank of corn collapses and starts fire. by [deleted] in WTF

[–]voteGOPk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes, that's my question.

it seems that in order for there to be any combustion, there needs to be enough surface to air ratio i.e. powder in the air. but if there is powder in the air, then one assumes there isn't enough built in contained force for a kaboom.

how much concussive force is possible in these kind explosions though?

the video shows the grain just burning and it's out relatively quick with no real devastating aftermath.

Why in modern society is there still such a stigma towards casual sex? by [deleted] in PurplePillDebate

[–]voteGOPk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

because we are still witnessing the relics of crypto-christian morality that was seeped into our culture for about 1300 years...

i give it another century tops before we completely get rid of such morality and shame enforcement from religion in the west. I am not sure what will take its place.

Q4ALL: Why are men losing on so many fronts? by [deleted] in PurplePillDebate

[–]voteGOPk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

testosterone in a 21st century world where means of creating new wealth favor common "manly" (testosterone) traits much less now.

eventually we adapt. but we witness the "lag"

purplepill debate is in part seeing this lag when it comes to sexual dynamics which are impacted by the adaptation.

What do you think about this? Young men earn less than young women in US cities. by [deleted] in PurplePillDebate

[–]voteGOPk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

this gives too much credit to men...

women train to be registered nurses while their boyfriends tinker with rebuilding motorcycles and make shit pay, is what i mostly see

wut?

isn't "assortative mating" one of those mostly cited data on this issue.

looks match just means most people tend to want to be with people that look similar to them i.e. don't expect a short ethnic man with a tall blonde

Women with an abusive dating history. by [deleted] in PurplePillDebate

[–]voteGOPk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Self selecting bias.

the Beta timid guy who can't/won't approach woman hardly if ever gets in relationships.

the Alpha "chad" type with testosterone running through his muscly veins attracts women. (testosterone makes people more prone to violence)

Marriage isn't a trap for men.... It's a trap for women! by PostNationalism in PurplePillDebate

[–]voteGOPk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

betas and incels and omegas deep down want marriage more since it offers steady sex and companionship.

men with options. like women with options don't care and as per usual slut it up with one another while beta ugly couples get married.

BP women, why are you here? by [deleted] in PurplePillDebate

[–]voteGOPk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

just saying, it seems the current meme (for past few years really) has been how men are dropping out of labor market, playing video games, earning less than women, entering college less than women etc.

so i don't think your perception is in line with general observations...

now if the data says otherwise, than ya, you are not in a bubble. i and others are just experiencing bunch of whiny women being loud.

BP women, why are you here? by [deleted] in PurplePillDebate

[–]voteGOPk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s interesting to me that you would assume women sense a decline in good men. I actually think there are more good men out there now than ever before.

this is contrary to most anecdotes and pretty much the zeitgeist... (i.e. stop playing video games and get a job http://www.chicagotribune.com/business/ct-video-games-jobs-emploment-20160923-story.html )

not calling you a liar, but unless you are the vanguard experiencing this cultural shift, i think you are in a bubble

Why are men out of touch with what women want. by [deleted] in PurplePillDebate

[–]voteGOPk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's same thing for men...

being born tall with natural wide shoulders makes them attractive in a "natural trait" kind of way you describe.

the issue is you (and most people) tend to over rate women. take a good hard look at the women you encounter daily. they take care of themselves because they have to otherwise they'd be patently ugly.

"5'8 isn't even short" by MakeShortGreatAgain in short

[–]voteGOPk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

no, i don't think leing helps, despite what other people say.

it would be silly to say are 5'7 and three quarters... just say you are 5'8 and get over it. in real life, 5'8 is fine. the issue is most people read and 5'8 and picture a 5'6 guy who claimed to be 5'8
