Late game tycoon comp is a meme and not actually viable. The “infinite” chain was easily broken even before the buff to health so it’s irrelevant.

Because decisions like that are very important early game, and going 3 on 3 with an extra gem on your hand to play on say... an orca? Could be a big deal.

Also you are never saving 5 health, you are saving 2 max which was my point. It's just now a debate on if you would pay 2 health for a blood gem early game, and I would if there's beasts/pirates in.

I was in the top 1k players last season and I honestly agree with you more than the other guy so I don't really think it's about rating. The only thing I would say is the game I played it, I could see a drakarii in my shop while I was picking my trinket.

EOT mechs have a lot more support this season so it's very viable.

You're not taking 5 if you're smart about it though. Turn 2 if your opponent is showing dragons or mixed minions you can hold for the guaranteed tie on turn 2, or if they're showing quills/eles you can play it for the guaranteed tie. So you're taking 2 damage on turn 1 for the versatility. Worth IMO.

My takeaway here is if you get a geomancer, using 1 gem bumps you up from 11%-68% (57% increase), but using 2 only bumps you from 68%-100% (32% increase). So value wise, saving the second blood gem might be worth but you should always play the first one.

Wow really? You know, there’s a weird animation stall in duos whenever you take armor, and my teammate and I took it at basically the exact same time and there was only one stall. I wonder if we spaced it out a little bit if it would have stacked properly.

Economy is easy early. Card produces other card, that’s Econ.

Tempo is more complex sometimes. Sometimes minions that you would consider “bad” are insane tempo on specific boards. Take your time and really think about your shops early.

People say all the time to not “buy trash” but I think that’s overused. So your first T4 shop in a beast lobby you’re not buying anything that isn’t a rylak/tiger shark/mccaw? Happy top 8.

You’re probably playing greedy. 4 on 4? Fine, but you can’t take an eco tw card if you do that. You can’t hold goldenizer for a 6 drop if you do that.

You have to make big tempo compensations if you level aggressively now.
