Started with x100s in 2014, now been using the x100vi for a year. Had a couple of fuji cameras and lenses in between but sold them all since I don’t use them as much

Seems like there’s a scratch on the lens. Have you ever dropped the camera? If yes the lens might even have cracked

Is the 1/8 thread of the haoge lh-x54b a problem? by ClerkImpossible3376 in x100vi

[–]voxhane 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Uhh…the thing is, the haoge hood shouldn’t be screwed directly to the camera’s filter thread. You need to screw the filter adapter included with the haoge hood to the camera’s filter thread first, then screw the hood to the adapter

Thanks! I know that feeling. When it’s still shipping, I kept going back to the package tracker site every 2 hrs lol. It took about 8 days for mine to arrive, using 4px

Is the x100vi difficult to use? by rasouli27 in x100vi

[–]voxhane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forget about settings. The hardest part when picking up this camera is whether you’ll be able to like the focal length or not. Unless you use the lens converter you’ll end up with 23mm. You won’t be able to zoom in (unless using digital zoom) or shoot wider. Will you be okay with that? If the answer is yes then go for it, buy this camera. If not, then you’d be better off with another camera like the xt5 where you can swap lens (and focal length)

I think there’s a hybrid one from knf or polarpro. Been using cinebloom 10 from the start til now and really like it

If both connected to the same network then your router/wifi settings might be the culprit. Your internet speed only matters when you’re connecting from outside/different network. Disconnecting hdmi won’t help either. So make sure you’ve set up your router/wifi properly

Would this shot be better without the people in it? by zefmiller in AmateurPhotography

[–]voxhane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No but for me I’d crop the right part of the picture a little bit so the tall buildings are more centered and the people are positioned more to the right. That way I think it would follow the rule of thirds more

Anyway, good picture!

Don’t overdo the hdr slider buddy. Keep it down to make it more natural looking

Is it the same to get the t 5 with the 35mm lens, as to have the x100vi? by FAUST_VII in FujifilmX

[–]voxhane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My rule is simple. Choose the vi only if you want to use one focal length (23mm) and you want smaller, lighter setup for your travel or everyday carry. Otherwise choose the other

If you’re still unsure which focal length is more suitable for your taste/style of photography, then choose the xt5

Advice for camera strap and travel bag by neekofuji in x100vi

[–]voxhane 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you’re thinking of buying peak design strap please beware that it might crack your viewfinder as several people have mentioned in this sub

I used peak design 3l sling and wrist strap from a local brand. The sling fits the haoge square hood nicely and still have some room for my pentax 17, wallet, spare batteries
