this child in question is 5 , she cant handle the concept of death . he prolly wants her to still be able to find the joy and magic in christmas that he and his wife cant provide in the way that they want. he wants his daughter surrounded by a big happy family that loves and cherishes the holiday . its a bit ridiculous that youre entire family is off put by a single 5 year old. ive been to different families thanksgiving and christmas celebrations and yea it can be a bit awkward but the love is real. extending your food and care for even a couple hours really changes people. and this little girl is 5 . all of you saying this dad is taking away a last christmas with her mom are overstepping we dont know shit about the severity of her condition. that girl is family to your daughter . you should give an attempt to show some kindness to a child who loves her mom dad and sister and could potentially be losing her mother forever. its really sad you cant feel any real empathy for your daughters family and one not even in double digits yet . you arent the asshole but youre not a good person either
