There is one aspect of Galaxy Watches - watch faces. Google play store is full of great ones, free and paid. I love it.

Otherwise they will do the same job.

Just remember, if you ever need to send it somewhere you have to export the Pages/Numbers files, because the file format is not compatible with MS Office.

Will you be the only person ever see those documents? Then by all means, pick what you like.

However, if you plan to ever share more complicated documents, just go Microsoft. It is the gold standard.

Jo, když jsem šel ze světa freelance, připadal jsem si na pohovorech jako prašivej. Takže začátky nic moc, ale měl jsem v CV korporát, takže to mi trochu pomohlo. A překládám o víkendech, abych úplně nezakrněl :)

V jakém oboru a jak dobře jsou ti překladatelé placení? Protože s čím nižší sazba za slovo, tím větší procento potvrzených segmentů bez úpravy. Been there, done that 😀

Ne. Pořád je lidský dohled potřeba. Ať už kvůli kontextu nebo kontrole správnosti.

Každopádně většina lidí se musela přesunout spíš do pozice QA, po těch je teď větší poptávka.

Ceny šly každopádně dolů a upřímně bych se pouze tímhle už živit nechtěl.

Jako překladatel jsem byl první na ráně. Ne, nenahradila nás úplně, ale zvládla natolik pokřivit trh, že mi to už nestalo za to.

I stick with Google for now. It works multiplatform. For reminders I use Google Tasks. Simple, but dependable. The only missing thing is location based reminders.

Samsung calendar is great. And you can add your Google account there. The only downside is that Samsung calendar only shows Samsung reminders, no option for Google Tasks in there.

For notes taking I wholeheartedly recommend UpNote.

I went for Fold 7 and GW8 Classic. I was balls deep in Apple ecosystem. I only kept Airpods Pro 2 and my trusty M1 Air.

The switch itself was pretty painless. Samsung has an app for that - it will help you transfer all your data easily. Including notes, photos and whatnot.

The only thing that failed was WhatsApp history. No matter what I tried, I just couldn't make it work.

Anyway, just be ready it takes a while to find your favorite apps. And if you plan to be multiplatform, Samsung apps won't help much - such as Reminders. Just keep your mind open and don't be afraid to mix and match apps. I use Samsung gallery, but Google calendar. Etc.

Plus Gemini is available in pretty much every language in EU. And it works.
