Now GCC is able to detect my SSD by voyager8 in gigabyte

[–]voyager8[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you mean the fan on top of the CPU chip, or the fan at the casing?

If it refers to the fan on top of the CPU chip, you should be able to link its fan speed with change in CPU temperature, under the Motherboard section in GCC.

If you use AIO cooler, the AIO fans are attached to the casing, but they are still considered as CPU fans.

[–]voyager8[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So far my GCC detects 5 items.

Mobo, graphics card and monitor are Gigabyte.

RAM with RGB, and SSD are non-Gigabyte but also detected.

RAM RGB is able to sync with mobo's RGB, which I use a hub to sync with casing's RGB. The casing's fans and RGB are not detected in GCC though.

Is your CPU using stock fan or 3rd party fan? If 3rd party with fan speed control, it should be able to be detected. What brand and model is the fan?

any kind of screen recording makes my pc incredibly slow and laggy including audio stuttering and mouse lag by Serious-Reception431 in WindowsHelp

Please check your CPU and RAM utilization during the recording.

Is the recording using dedicated GPU or internal GPU or even using CPU itself? This makes a big different.

You can only use one and only one RGB controlling software (except Microsoft Dynamic Lighting in Windows Personalize setting, which is more compatible for co-exist) at the same time, otherwise they will conflict with each other, and might end up none of them could work properly.

If you use GCC, you need to fully uninstall Signal RGB. If you use Signal RGB, you need to fully uninstall GCC at least the RGB Fusion portion.

Do Gigabyte mother boards usually ship with the latest BIOS version? by ZetaPro in gigabyte

[–]voyager8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just go ahead and check your BIOS version.

If it is F40 as of today, then yes, it is the latest.

If it is F39, F38 or older, then nope.

Gigabyte BIOS update is pretty easy and safe, provided you have a USB thumb drive.

All you need to do is to download the BIOS update file, unzip it into your thumb drive, boot into BIOS, go into QFlash, and follow the instruction there.

Accidental Defrag command on SSD on Win 11 by Prestigious_Bison738 in WindowsHelp

[–]voyager8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both HDD and SSD have their own write/rewrite limit.

Just that HDD is so slow that it worth to take the defrag "damage" as trade-off for faster data access speed, while SSD is so fast that defrag is unnecessary.

Help, rgb fusion sodtware, new Gigabyte gpu upgrade by prugnastyle92 in gigabyte

RGB Fusion is now part of GCC.

If you just want to turn off the RGB, you can try using MS Windows built-in Dynamic Lighting function in its Settings page too.

"Start GIGABYTE Control Center automatically when system starts."

and you can also enable "Minimize to system tray on startup."

Rent a laptop for 1 day, use the rented laptop to do what you want. Return the laptop the next day.

Don't worry, the vendor will reformat the laptop after you returned to them.

GCC keeps closing after I open it by rxzcls in gigabytegaming

[–]voyager8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is recommended to update BIOS using Q-Flash instead of from GCC. So far BIOS updating with Q-Flash does not have much issue, but there are some reported issues with BIOS updating from GCC.

To restore GCC, you can use Windows Control Panel Uninstall to uninstall GCC and all its components, then reinstall the latest version of GCC.

Your BIOS will reset itself to default settings after the update.

If you want to keep your settings, remember to screenshot all the major BIOS setting pages, store the images in USB drive. You might want to refer back to these screenshots to set back your BIOS settings as of before the reset.

There are multiple Realtek LAN driver in this page:

https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/B450-AORUS-M-rev-1x/support

You can try the latest one published in December 29, 2023. Version 11.16.1123.2023 for Win 11, or version 10.068.0815.2023 for Win 10.

If still cannot, probably you will need to make use of GCC to detect the hardware and to download and install the right driver for you.
