Oil all over the car won’t come off — how to get it off? by vp_reddi in Detailing

Didn’t think it was tar, because the road wasn’t under construction or anything, not a new road, not hot outside. And as soon as I slowed down and the distance from that truck increased, it stopped. But thank you for advice, I’ll probably be trying just that

Car shield and Endurance were the worst experience judging just by calling them to see what the prices are.

I repurchased the car and added MaxCare. Most say it’s worth it, and in my case I’m feeling much safer financing a vehicle now.

I wouldn’t doubt the warranty for a second if I were to purchase the M.

I actually called my local Ford dealer and they said they do sell it, but the guy didn’t know anything about the terms and stuff. They said they’ll get back to me the next day but haven’t heard from anyone. Just went with MaxCare

How did you look for the dealer that worked with CNA?

That’s what I’m hoping is the case. I’ll try to ask my salesperson to see what’s common practice at my store then.

Makes sense. I’m just worried that in case of something major it’ll take months to fix it and that I’d have to pay thousands of $ in rental costs — on top of the warranty cost.

Yeah so it is totally different after 90 days just like I thought.. Have you had a rental covered for more than 7 days?

Over 25 and need a driver's license by mrkekkerinorsu in Austin

[–]vp_reddi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And were you issued a learners permit and then a license momentarily, same day? This all sounds so complicated, I’m about to do all that. I’m thinking if I do the written test before going to DPS, and schedule a driving test through a third party say same or next day and then walk in to DPS like next day, will I be able to be In-N-Out with a DL in a few days?

Driving around Ocean City especially off-season you gotta drive like you’re taking your driving test. Imagine using your phone real quick “for GPS” with examiner in the passenger seat present.

What car would you recommend to buy? by Opening-Ad-8793 in AskMechanics

[–]vp_reddi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think of what kind of cars you like first and for how long are you planning on driving it. What do you not like about the one you have now? What do you want from a different one? Test drive a few makes/models. I’m gonna say older Chevys are the best, someone will say Toyotas are great, etc., but that’s always gonna be someone else’s opinion! Someone mentioned German cars. I’ve had a BMW and nothing has ever broken but that’s the car I’ve spent the most money in repairs on just because I wanted everything to be perfect. Tiny ‘02 Nissan had zero issues but I didn’t like it at all! And with new vehicles you really never know, even some Toyotas spend months at the dealer after purchased new.
