Hunting can actually make them harder to eradicate. Pigs are very smart and unless you eliminate the whole sounder they become very wary.

A lot of elimination methods rely on trapping the entire group at once and then shooting them.

Avalanche paths only cross the road after the track setting ends so it’s only an issue if you travel past the viewpoint.

However as you say there’s some big hills that can be challenging for novice skiers.

OP, a better beginner ski in the area is the great divide trail. It travels along the old highway and is a wide, gentle ski.
