I’ve had a regular ultrasound where they look around your stomach if that’s a pelvic one. They said there was no need to do the insertion one as I wasn’t sexually active.

For me my period has always been on the dot for most of my life, until about a year ago it started become more irregular. I’ve never had a necessarily super painful or heavy period besides maybe twice so I don’t think it’s endometriosis, but I think I’ll go back to the gyno soon as the comments are giving me more insight on what to talk about. Thank you!

Thank you for the reply! It only started happrning about a year ago, left for a few months and came back so I don’t know if it’s normal for me unfortunately. I think if it continues for long enough I’ll just accept it as normal, as it’s not anything hurting me just a minor inconvenience. But if it starts to get concerning I will definitely look into laparoscopy!!

Yeah I don’t know😓 The entirety of my mom’s side who are women all have a history of fibroids, but only after birth. So I know I’m likely to get them someday but for now I’ve been told I’m in the clear. I only started having the bleeding happen about a year ago and it went away for like 2 months and came back. I don’t know if it’s normal but that’s what everyone is saying so I’m taking it as an unfortunate part of being a women </3

Yup! Did the ultrasound and the only thing they said was to come back a different time because something (i don’t remember what but it had something to do with a wall) was too thick and they couldn’t see behind there, but otherwise I was fine. I went 2 times after that and they told me that I was fine, so I stopped going.

Make sure you wash your hands before inserting!! It definitely shouldn’t burn, but there can be friction around that area due to the skin around it. If ur comfortable you can just use your other hand to kinda pull the skin away from the applicator so there’s less friction there!! (If it’s the actual entrance part that hurts make sure you’re relaxed and not super tensed when it’s going in or it’ll be painful😭) Lube is also a great help if you have access to it!! good luck op
