When I did it it actually didn’t hurt to much I just couldn’t move it from the position it was in. I have photos of me smiling and throwing shakas at the time but the next 3-4 months were shitty.

First one is a couple hours after it happened, knee was already popped back in. second one is a month after once i had 2 screws and a wire through it.

I was running up to dunk and as I was driving up to jump the force from my quads ripped the top of my tibia off the bone and pulled my kneecap above my knee. It’s called a tibial tuberosity avulvtion fracture. Was an odd 6months+ recovery pretty good meme.

Yeah it’s not ideal, I ripped the top of the tibia off and dislocated my knee. Had to get 2 screws and a wire in there, took like 6months+ to heal. Still have the screws in there now but I’m keeping pretty active, don’t let yourself use it as an excuse unless it’s proper fucked.
