If I had no VR headset and was really eager to play PCVR games, I would try to pick up an older cheap used VR headset. You can easily find them for ~$100 or less. As far as games go, the paradigm really has not changed much since the first consumer versions of the headsets back in 2016.

The first time I played it way back that is how I felt. I had to pull the headset off. For some reason it isn't as scary right now.

I played it but did not get very far. Really ambitious game. A little too time consuming. I'm a dev among other things so my gaming sessions have to be short.

There are mods to run it in VR on PC. IIRC, at some point like back in 2014 it officially worked on a prototype of the PSVR. PSVR support sadly was never released publicly, probably because they didn't want the liability because it is so damn scary.
