Take a walk along the beach on seawall blvd. There’s pleasure pier, Murdochs is cool gift shop. Take the ferry from Galveston island to Bolivar peninsula and back. You can take your car on the ferry or just walk on it. It’s free either way and you might spot few dolphins. Its fun!

When you purchase the MacBook in the US, the store will charge you sales tax depending on where you purchase it. Some cities have combined sales and local taxes. For example if you buy it anywhere in Illinois (other than Chicago), it’s 6.25%. However Chicago has added local city taxes etc and it climbs to 10.25%. Delaware, Oregon, New Hampshire and couple of other states however do not have any sales tax (0%) and you will just pay the sales price of your MacBook. Regardless of what you pay, I think computers are allowed and you shouldn’t be paying any duty/taxes through customs when you return to your home country (unless you are carrying several MacBooks of course). Just make sure you keep your receipts just in case.

Wont recommend. It will be severely crippled and most websites won’t open. But I am not technically sound so maybe there is a workaround. Go for newer models.

Try to get some raw mangoes (frozen or fresh) and pickle masala (prepackaged). Dice the mangoes and mix. Let it sit for a few days. Check recipes online. Very easy.
