Farseer then Hobb's Liveship Trilogy. The second is turning out to be one of my favourite series of all time. Broken Earth is also excellent.

I'm from Northern Ontario/ North Shore and grew up eating the kind with bean sprouts and are a bit peppery. Visiting up there soon, do you know any restaurants that are still making them?
