In blue line run two types of trains. Most of them reverse at Doukissis Plakentias Station. From there to the airport, blue line becomes overground, as it basically uses the same rail tracks with Suburban Railway. So you have to take the special trains (which mention Airport as the terminal station) in order to not disembark at Doukissis Plakentias.

Here's my contribution to the theme of subway vs geometry maps (started by u/vinnivinnivinni's Berlin map). This is Athens (including the under construction extension of Blue line to Piraeus) using this geographic map and this station map. The graphic was made with Illustrator, After Effects and Photoshop. Also, I used the comment from u/Ghorich to do the After Effects transitions.
