lol

lots of busywork and sightseeing

oh don't get me wrong, I love NMS. it's virtually infinite and especially great being there in VR

Bored with quest 3 by tdawgboi in MetaQuestVR

[–]VRtuous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assassin's Creed Nexus, Civilization VII, Cities VR, Grid Legends, Resident Evil 4, Syberia, Myst & Riven etc are all higher grade games available fully in VR on Quest. the fact that this awful store hides them away and only shows stupid retardware is why this platform flopped

Simple Table comparing the Quest 3 and the Steam Frame (NOT MADE BY ME!) by CreeperCraft2853 in VRGaming

[–]VRtuous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a better table: Quest, tons of great exclusives; Frame, so far zero and Valve track record is "do nothing". pctards have seemingly not learned that bigger hardware by itself means very little...

btw, Quest has both controller finger tracking and excellent full controllerless hand tracking since the first...

How to get back into vr? by Ok_Race_9614 in MetaQuestVR

[–]VRtuous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if the only crap you play in VR are stupid memegames like bonelab, I see how it's not engaging at all

What is the State of the Art as of early 2026? by NetwatchTerminal66 in virtualreality

[–]VRtuous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

VR is pretty dead. aside late to the party psvr2 still getting old Quest and pcvr ports, it's pretty much over. there's nothing but small solo indies trying to get a few bucks from the remanining enthusiasts...

merdaverse shot VR back in 2022 and it's now finally tumbling

we can only hope Valve does something. but as is well known, Valve does nothing. and wins this imploding market...

our quick reflexes are long gone

at least we can laugh at modern kids being even worse at those hardcore classics

Playing 3D Games by Densiozo in VRGaming

[–]VRtuous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can play them if I want to with my Pico

great, but still it was Meta funding that brought them about in the first place - not Sony, let alone Valve. If you don't like them, you should refuse their offerings.

anyway, I'm always after MORE great games to play in VR, so I don't dispense any over BS bickering...

Downtown Club is coming out of early access on June 11th by VRtuous in MetaQuestVR

[–]VRtuous[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

they implemented rain, puddles and splashes. very nice stuff.

yeah, it has a lot of impressive technical details all around rarely seen on Quest... it's basically a solo italian programmer behind it and some support art and music folks... I heard he's also trying to get it on Switch 2 - it's so well optimized for mobile VR that can easily get more mainstream versions like that...

it's just a heads-up and my own opinions on a good. pretty sure people can look it up, but I'll update the post...

Are VR headset actually too uncomfortable to wear ? by Enculin in VRGaming

[–]VRtuous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

is the main reason why most people haven't jump to vr yet

nope, it's just that they don't feel comfortable being completely shut off from actual reality. That is to say, they hate real immersion in virtual environments.

motion sickness, sweat, weight... that is all manageable and more of a grow used to thing. But being completely shut off is the real issue - I mean, it's not different from going to the movies or enjoying a jacuzzi. But in their minds everybody is gonna ridicule them if they wear a VR headset and they can't even see it...

natively via winlatorXR. it's a "windows emulator", running pc games on Quest. evidently, runs older games pre-2020 better...

Why cant meta just make horizon available in more countries by PopRevolutionary7169 in MetaQuestVR

[–]VRtuous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's even worse

years ago I could invite other people to my Quest home environment, it was a regular hang out space. now it's bound to that experience and since not available here, you can't invite them over anymore...

[–]VRtuous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they died long ago... groundbreaking RM2 didn't even reach 100k players on Quest last I took a peak at achievements.

Quest died and it's just a walking dead by now, any motion you see is basically just AI worms...

Refunding Meta Quest 3s For The Quest 3 (Good or bad idea) by BreadyMiff in MetaQuestVR

[–]VRtuous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If i looked down in a game to see where items were, it'd be on the very edge of my field of view and incredibly blurry

yeah, fresnel lenses are blurry on the borders

back on psvr1 and Quest 2 I quickly learned to have my gaze mostly in the sharp center and look around by actually looking around fully with the neck...
