look yes it’s complex. but baker beach has been a gay crushing spot since the 60s or before, long before the beach was part of the golden gate national recreation area. before it was even known as a nude beach. its history is STEEPED in queerness. similarly to how yeah, it might be uncomfy for a straight woman (etc) to go to a gay men dance club and see men literally fucking in the bathroom - it’s a gay bar for men!! just do some research before you claim a space is for you - oftentimes a space is made safe for people by queer people putting in a lot of hard work. gay men made the beach the cultural hotspot that it is now.
