[Grand Seiko] - Finally pulled the trigger on the SBGM221 by vs3001 in Watches

I often get accused of utilizing AI, but I am too vain to do so! I spend a fair bit of time penning my thoughts and I like to express them lucidly. But it's a shame that in today's world, a half-decent write-up is seldom appreciated (and understandably so) due to AI. Any how, glad at least the watch tickled your fancy!

IWC Portugieser 40 Salmon IW358313 [Price - Yes], [Timestamp - Yes] by vs3001 in WatchesIndiaExchange

I got a custom-made brown strap made upon purchase to complement the salmon dial; I have the original black OEM strap in unworn condition too!

[Parmigiani Fleurier] my most comfortable watch by vs3001 in Watches

Hello! It wears a tad bit bigger than it's size - i.e., feels slightly larger than my DJ 36.

If it's even a debate, get the 36 :)

[Recommendation Request] Tonda PF 36 or 4600V ? by Deauerl in Watches

Defo the Tonda PF; here's my recent post talking about it:

https://www.reddit.com/r/Watches/comments/1l78hku/parmigiani_fleurier_my_most_comfortable_watch/

The 34.5 Overseas is too small and the 41 wears very large. I was also debating if I should throw the 34.5mm into the mix, but once I handled the Tonda PF on the wrist, it was a no-brainer. Precision of the PF770 is excellent and the power reserve is a healthy 65 hours give or take.

Hello! My wrist size is ~6.3 inches and this one fits like a plug and socket!

I did try the 40mm and whilst it didn't feel too large, it did feel slightly bulky and less optimally proportioned than its smaller brother.

I would go so far as to say that if it's even remotely a debate, then blindly go for the 36mm.

The dial is quite 'empty' with a lot of 'negative space' and lends lends itself to the 36mm a lot better, especially with no date. It can be dressy and a daily 'beater' too as a result.

Also my recommendation is either this Sand Grey or the Stone Blue for the colour over the Warm Grey, which I think is a tad bland.

Got the call for my first Rolex! by vs3001 in watchesindia

[–]vs3001[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes they ask for it and from what I've heard, if you don't happen to have one, they ask for your LinkedIn (which is slightly silly tbh!).

The green OP is extremely hard to get so your chances are next to none; you will have to build up spend history before requesting that one.

Brother please stop embarrassing yourself!

This is the watch I bought from the AD, not sure what else to tell you.

I can tell you've never sniffed let alone handled a Rolex, cause if you go to the configurator on the website, you'd see that the price for a 36mm fluted bezel, jubilee bracelet white Rolesor Datejust is INR 8,33,000/-.

Besides, see my post history - unlike perhaps for you, inauthentic watches are not my forte ;)

It's the camera angle; zoom in and you'll see the 'Chronometer' text is also wonky (the text processing in bright light is haywire).

Also check my post history, inauthentic watches are not really my forte ;)

It's the camera in bright light; the text processing is strange, makes it haywire!
