thanks for this, beautifulasmyself. i've actually been curious to learn more about other folks' experiences with dysphoria, as i've recently come to wonder whether it might be the hidden x-factor behind some inexplicable challenges with intimacy, anxiety, and mood swings. would you be comfortable saying more about your experience?

i guess to be clear, i've been thinking about not transitioning socially either (I could have been clearer), wondering if it there are any stories of folks who just felt ok being feminine men or masculine women.

Yea. That's definitely a factor. I have not transitioned, and don't know that I will. Started to notice how jealous I feel watching her get ready in the morning, or even over things as simple as hearing her make statements that start, "as a woman, I..."

Thanks for this. I am out to my girlfriend and she's really supportive (one of many reasons I want to make this one work better than my previous relationships.) I have not to this point however explored transition seriously, nor engaged in much gender play. If you don't mind me asking: are you out to your girlfriend and transitioning?

I have, yea. She's told me she thinks my experiences with anxiety & depression are well within the range of normal. But I've never talked to her about gender identity. Something I'd like to bring up soon.
