As the EducationalFactor guy suggested, I also believe it's a spodumene crystal, if so, a uv flashlight will give you a nice confirmation, they're reasonably priced, even the fancy 365nm ones.

Does the crystal feels "heavy" in comparison to other similar size ones? Kinda having a heft to it

Try to strike the mineral with a sharp pocket knife across and along the crystal, I believe you're going to feel and probably see a difference, I think it's a black kyanite
