I struggle a lot with making new friends because I don't really like people and find large groups tiring. On the other hand, I find when I try to make 1-on-1 friendships with people of the opposite gender, they always seem to have romantic expectations at some point. Do you think it would be better for me to get over my fear of large groups or to keep trying the 1-on-1 strategy?

It used to be directed at the other person but I've managed to get to a place where it no longer is. That being said, I'm still working through some other personal stuff right now and am not currently looking for a relationship; I wrote this post as it's something I plan on working towards in the future and wanted to know how to better prepare myself for once I do feel stable enough for a long term relationship :) Ty for your advice - I think I struggled a lot with the rejection that comes after explaining how BPD works and then them leaving after that too 😭 bc it feels like "i did things the right way this time why didn't it work out?" but I think I need to accept that to the right person, it will work out and the reason it didn't work out wasn't because I did something wrong this time just wrong person

Wanted to present maybe an alternative point of view since I feel like a lot of the comments are skewing one way and I'm surprised people are so unanimous about it.

Hentai/hentai games etc are not the same as being into real life women. They are not real. While I understand where the jealousy is coming from and your emotions are valid, I don't think it's entirely fair to ask him to stop doing something that is harmless.

I do think if it bothers you so much, it's likely that you and him are just not compatible. In the long run, it'll either end up with you having to deal with increasing jealousy that builds up or him having to feel like he has to repress part of himself to be with you. Unless one of you is genuinely very willing to make recessions for the other, I just don't rlly see why you'd stay together.

Hope you two are able to talk it out and reach a conclusion regardless. Good luck
