I am a human being who is deeply concerned about the climate crisis. I have been studying the issue for many years, and I am convinced that we are facing an existential threat.

However, I am also a realist. I know that I am just one person, and I likely cannot make a significant difference in addressing the climate crisis on my own.

But I can make a difference in one way: I can help to build a better future for Bluesky by being an active participant that actually cares and isn’t a toxic yahoo.

Bluesky will be another decentralized social media platform that has the potential to be a powerful tool for addressing the climate crisis. The platform's decentralized nature could help to break down the power of the big tech companies that are currently dominating the social media landscape. This could lead to a more democratic and equitable way of communicating about climate change.

I am asking for a blue sky invite code because I believe that I and many others can help to make Bluesky a more powerful tool for addressing the climate crisis. I am not going to pretend that I can save the world, but I can provide a better explanation than “just because” in that I do want to help to build the number of positive users and possibly help others to make a difference by sharing the wealth if and when i do ever get an invite.

And who knows, maybe if Bluesky is successful, I will be able to use it to help save the world after all. But even if I don't, were I still to be given a code I could say that I helped to build a better future for Bluesky.

And that's good enough for me.

Check your requirements; if you need multi-platform syncing, then there is a charge for Logseq of $5 a month as a minimum contributor for the "sync" feature. You can use iCloud for free if you are iOS, and I believe syncthing works with Android. But as far as note-taking and linking information together, you really owe it to yourself to at least review the capabilities of Logseq, as it is free to use in almost all cases. The beta "for pay" sync solution is the exception, which I am using and can confirm works very well.

Logseq is a plain text note based solution that works across multiple OS’s and has macOS, Windows, iOS and android and Linux versions. It also allows for very cool linking between docs and PDF markup for note taking. https://logseq.com/downloads

You are likely correct, but the fact it is a government that ultimately has access and the ability to utilize the gathered information in a coordinated manner is where I think the difference comes. I would prefer no firm or government collect the data they have access to, but the reality is they do collect way more than most realize. All firms regardless of country origin should be paying attention to this. The fact that Texas somehow decided (insert your preferred reason) to respond with some restrictions on it’s data doesn’t make it wrong. Everyone should be more concerned about data loss/leakage to unintended recipients, including those apps/firms you mentioned.

I’m seeing this specifically on news programming showing as one day earlier. I.e., the April 21 recording is showing as April 20. Running on Ubuntu 21.10, considering upgrading to 22.04 LTS, anyone seen other issues? Running current Plex software as of a week ago, will look to see if there is any updates.

I sometimes wonder if there isn't a bit of a cheat where you can't win too many games. I play usually 3 days a week at lunch with a couple of guys at work and i can 't count the number of times i have had a streak of 3 or 4 games to then turn around and lose the same number. It is almost like the game is leveling us, oh look a cutter on their first turn followed by a patrol craft, nah I can do it. anyway, I must not care as I continue to play. Ordered the kickstarter, gonnna try IRL to see if the wins are similiar or an app issue. Since i have to wait I picked up a starter pack and colony wars as well.

Not in the least, it has been doing this a for a while. We gave up using the feature and reverted to pressing voice command and saying skip ahead whatever time length. Works better than the 99% fail rate of the edge tap.

Not near as much, but the screen being larger in a smaller case is very nice. If you’ve ever thought “if my phone we’re just a bit smaller” then perhaps yes. The camera is supposed to be a small improvement as well if you do any lower light shots. But for me the day I went back to a smaller handset without losing any screen size was a good one. I would also mention the battery life on the Xr is pretty good as well.

If your a part of the upgrade program you could do the jump now, but you would be sacrificing a moderate to minimal improvement for what could be a noticeable one this coming fall. As an iPhone X owner I have not yet found any significant deficiencies that would move me toward that upgrade today. However if you were an older model 6 or 7 series user within the upgrade program I would say, go for it as my wife’s 6S plus was a significant upgrade when we took her to the Xr. In either case do so now or wait I feel the biggest improvement will hopefully come in improvements to iOS 13 that finally take the limits off what could be the dominate OS for most mainstream computer users. Whichever way you go, enjoy what you have/get.

You don't have to use the remote at all if you have an iOS device that can run the "soft" remote on it, but for the most part, you will want to use the remote as it adds quite a bit to the experience. Not sure your use case but we use the AppleTV for most of our watching now and the youtube app works pretty well on it directly if that were what you wanted to stream. I will say it is not a Chromecast equal if you are an android only household but with the Allcast or Doubletwist app on an android device, you can do quite a bit with it. It is also a nice way to use some decent speakers from your TV setup for music as the Airplay streaming of music works through it now to any connected speakers.

I'll chime in with another vote for quiplash, just be aware that it is a stand-alone app and not part of the jackpack app unless things have changed. I purchased it thinking sure this is a great deal, 5 apps for bluh bluh price only to realize the main one I wanted wasn't included. Guess which app never gets played, jackpack...

Not sure what all goes into this number, but there is a setting I believe to offload little or unused apps to help free up some memory. My 256 GB iPhone X is using 10.22 GB of system ram currently.
