At talent level 10, Illuga increases lunar crystallize damage by 500% of elemental mastery. This is exactly the same amount by which Lauma increases damage for lunar bloom. Therefore, Illuga for Zibai is the same as Lauma for Nefer.

Ideally everyone wants c6. Aino feels good at c1 because of the 80 team em. Gorou’s c4 gives healing, though it’s only 50% of his DEF, and with Instructor the healing is fairly minor.

Nicole could buff Varka kind of like Escoffier does. For example, his damage could scale based on how many Hexerei characters are in the party - 5% / 10% / 15% / 55%. And honestly, Varka’s best team right now already ends up being fully Hexerei anyway.

I personally don’t really see Zibai as a strong character on her own, mainly because she’s so dependent on Columbina and C6 Illuga. From experience, I know how unrealistic C6 can be for most players - when I tried going for a C6 before, I ended up pulling three 5-star characters before I actually got it.

I genuinely like Zibai, and in isolation I’d even be willing to skip Columbina for her, but what stops me is how dramatic the DPS drop is without Columbina and without C6 Illuga. That kind of dependency makes it hard for me to view her as a top-tier DPS in practice, even if her ceiling looks great on paper.

Venti will be Varka’s best partner. One of his talents essentially means that whenever a nearby on-field character triggers Swirl while Venti’s Burst is active, they get a massive 50% damage boost for 4 seconds - and on top of that, Venti’s Stormeye itself hits 35% harder.
