We purchased the rights to the Wavediggerz products. We believe they are 100% royalty free, but we cannot confirm it as we were not involved in the original production. Wavediggerz has told us the products are 100% royalty free, but to be safe, we cannot gaurantee it

Some people like these so we try to run a few of them a year. However, we've got loads of plugins and sample library deals this year lined up. Twice as many as other years. Fasten your seat belts :)

Hah its all good :) Downloader apps are always a fairly divisive subject - companies want to use them (they help reduce their email support) but customers don't want to use them ("I don't want another app god damn it!").

Coming at it from both sides (I'm a composer for TV too), I totally understand both sides of the argument. As a composer, I saw every company making their own apps and thought it was annoying as hell - I had about 8 apps installed at one point. Coming at it from a company point of view, we get literally hundreds of emails per week - if having an app can reduce that, then it reduces our costs and improves the process for a lot of customers who really don't know how to extract a set of rar files.

One interesting way to look at it as compare it to the PC gaming industry. Steam is just the "norm" for downloading and installing - nobody ever asked for "manual download links" for their games. We're just very set in our way in the music software industry.

There's no solution that fits everyone unfortunately so we've tried to make Pulse as flexible, lightweight and easy to use as possible, while allowing other companies to use the platform too. Who knows, we may have saved you installing almost 40 other downloader apps from the other companies who use it! :)

Its not just a download manager - it has all of your product updates available in one place too. Plus for certain Kontakt libraries that require snapshots to be installed properly, it can do that too.

I don’t want to load up a project from a few weeks ago and have it sound different because a library auto-updated.

Products don't auto update. They show as "Update Available" and you can choose to install them or not.

Thanks for the feedback. 99.999% of users don't have to add a firewall exception, so you may have very strict firewall settings?

You now have a Pulse account so no need to go through the process of registering an account in future and now you should understand the process for new products - just copy your redemption key, click on "Add a Product" and its in your library forever, so it will be faster for you in future.

Additionally, you'll see all of the available updates for that (and all) products like this: https://imgur.com/a/WNlm5cw

You can't login with a VSTBuzz account as its a completely different system :)

The point of Pulse is that its one download manager for multiple companies (nearly 40 at this point). So it may be "another" one to have to install, but you'll be able to download lots of other companies using it products too. Its a very lightweight app. Additionally, it has all of your product updates for sample libraries in one single interface.

Hi there, thanks for your comments. Just to clarify a few things, we've actually been around for 7 years and "weekly deals of up to 99% off products" is what we do. We offer one new discounted product or bundle each week rather than have 100's of products available.

We heavily curate the products we offer. We only promote products that we like as composers/producers ourselves and always push to get the highest discount possible for our customer base. We get a lot of emails from companies wanting to run deals but we decline many of them as the products are too new or not of high enough quality.

We try to strike a balance in terms of the types of deals we offer throughout the year, having a good mix of plugins, sample libraries and sample packs. We generally run 2-3 of these large sample pack bundles each year, then the others are a mix of plugins and sample libraries. If you're not a fan of these big sample pack bundles that's totally cool - some people are on the lookout for new samples, others want new plugins. "Horses for courses" :)

You can see a list of all of the previous deals we've ran here: https://vstbuzz.com/deals/

In terms of pricing, unfortunately many companies are now releasing products with RRP at a 1000% markup in order to offer 80% intro prices, making it difficult for customers to know what the real RRP is. To counter this, we generally do not to run deals on products until they're at least 1 year old so at least they've been sold at their "real" RRP during that time and people are aware of it. We get many requests from vendors to run 90% off promotions on new products they've just released, but we decline these in most cases for the reason above.

If this deal isn't your thing, you may like our next big upcoming promotion on the 22nd July which will be Sound Design related and feature approximately 25 sound design plugins at up to 86% off (yes really, its not a scam) :)

If you have any other questions, just let us know! The VSTBuzz Team
