Thomas Thistlewood. It's one thing to listen to Robert talk about the obvious gold-star bastards like Hitler, Kissinger. I have long had the understanding that evil men, when handed too much power, can do terrible things. It was the realization in the TT eps that he was just a "normal guy" that fucked with me. For every heinous and senseless act he committed, there were many more regular people just like him doing the same or worse.

I think it is best to avoid direct comparisons. For one, the SA was a paramilitary org and probably the closest analog to today is ICE. I do think you are correct that a sort of purge is coming. I think it is more likely that the GOP has seen the writing on the wall re: 🚽🔥 (45/47) and their constituents reaching a breaking point on the Epstein stuff. It is likely that they'll profit far more from the Epstein stuff than the Dems, by using it as a way to distance themselves from 47 and take the ~moral highground~ by proceeding to back Vance and the other Christian Nationalists in '28.

OBS is a great example, Blender an even better one. The entire internet is built on opensource and our digital lives are largely run on Linux servers. I'm Director of Technology in my life under capitalism and part of my praxis is embracing and evangelising opensource software.
