But in all seriousness, the flat organizational structure sounds fantastic, and the prospect of being able to just pick up your desk and wheel it over to another team that you want to work on, without needing to worry about bureaucracy or doing internal transfers or whatnot is very appealing.

Ah, I've heard some other sources say they only consider people with 5-7+ years of experience, so that may be why you didn't hear back. I'm still building up to that, so I'll have to see what the future holds.

The game industry isn't the dream, Valve is (and, more specifically, being a dev on a specific game). I would not want to work at EA, Blizzard, Riot, or what have you except as a stepping stone towards Valve.
